  2. Dear Insight enthusiasts, I had a Insight Mk 1 for 20 years and loved it so much I got a Japanese import at the end of last year a 2004 Mk1. Sadly my windscreen wipers stopped working during a very wet day, got back safely but now need some help. There are three places for the fuses according to my handbook. I found the one under the bonnet and the one to the right of the drivers seat. However, apparently there is supposed to be a third one, which contains the windscreen wiper fuse which is supposed to be on the passengers side in the foot well above the floor. I took the carpet back and the metal covering underneath, which had tubes going through it and some sort of metal plate - but no fuse box. PLEASE can someone send me a photo or directions of where the fuse box is? Thank you! Richard B

  4. I was thinking of buying a Civic 2015 estate but then noted the following problems. 1 Fitted with Garmin Sat nav system. Could not find if the system could still be updated, suspect not. 2 Fitted with DAB radio, not DAB+. Would need a completely new radio system to get DAB+stations (Quoted £750 approx) 3 Were not sure if the latest mobile hands free phone systems are still compatible with the system fitted to the car. Has anybody got any information on the above?

  7. Hi everyone, I would appreciate some advice with a problem I'm having with my front 12v power socket. It worked intermittently when you turn the plug inside it. Now it's dead. I would like to replace it but I would need help from someone who has carried out this repair. I have attached a picture of the type and placement of the socket. Thanks in advance.
  8. It does show as a warning (amber) to check oil level from what I can gather. Maybe a sensor issue but wonder if you could top it slightly with a small amount to see if it disappears?
  9. Very True Trevor, but hope you enjoy your Holiday and look forward to seeing you soon Best Regards BAZZER

  17. Hello, does anyone have a first generation CR-V with the 126bhp engine and automatic gearbox? If so, what speed is your engine doing at 60mph (level road, steady speed)? I think my transmission, or somethin else, is slipping slightly, because the engine is doing about 3000rpms and stays there, and I thought it should be closer to 2500-2600rpms. Any advice would be much appreciated. There don't appear to be any other issues with the gearbox. It is selecting gears without any issues and the change is about as smooth as any other 4 speed automatic gearbox from that era.
  18. Just for the sake of an update, I have managed to source a used one for not many pounds and installed it on the car, so the fuel leak is no more. Just before that I also enquired at a local specialist parts supplier (I think they specialise in motorsport and custom builds) and they advised that making a section of a fuel line is not an issue at all and they could get all the parts. They only asked me to bring the old one in so that we could measure it, but I never got round to it because I got a second-hand one shortly after. Anyway, issue is now resolved. Onto the next one. Thank you for your replies.
  19. Hi everyone, my CRV 2004 Automatic is showing error codes P0135 (O2 Sensor heater circuit Bank 1 sensor 1) and P0131 (O2 sensor circuit low voltage Bank 1 sensor 1). I'm currently browsing three websites—GSFcarparts, EuroCarParts, and Autodoc—to find the correct parts. However, there are numerous variations, making it challenging to decide. For example, on the GSF website, the DENSO LAMBDA SENSOR - 315MM is priced at £150.40, while the same product on the Autodoc website is £40. I'm unsure which one to choose. Can anyone offer advice on which option I should go for? car reg: RJ54OAH
  20. Regarding the parasitic draw: Last month, I disconnected the Hands Free Bluetooth by taking off the cover and unplugging the grey cable. This is located on the driver side panel. My battery died the following morning. Gave my car to the local garage on the 4th of May. It has done me well as I am walking 1 hour every day (commute). However the garage is still doing their tests. I needed the car on 10/04 and drove it to see that the inside temperature was getting really hot. I tried turning on the fan and it did not work. Looks like they disabled the fan and exhaust system. I called today 12/04/2024 and the mechanic said it is in the workshop (again!) I understand these things take time, but I thought it was simple as hooking up a multi-meter and pulling out fuses. Once this battery drain is sorted, I think I will take my car to a Honda garage, or honda specialist for the AFS and heated seats issue. Also, the right hand side parking sensor is scratched, this is easily replacable and the units are cheap on amazon. I hope to update you all.

If you scan the ECU to see if there are any fault codes it would be a good start as the possible causes are many.....split turbo boost hose, blocked EGR, sticking turbo vanes, blocked fuel filter.....etc
  28. Hi....welcome to the Club You should be able to get new wiper blades from Halfords and go for the option of getting them fitted so they have to do the legwork to open the packaging to offer up potentially suitable blades to your car. Once you find suitable ones, keep the packaging for future reference but it just comes down to length and fittings so aftermarket parts are fine in the situation Anything else specific to the Stream then I would look on eBay (link below) for listings and see what is out there https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_1838652?mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&campid=5338938280&customid=HondaKW&toolid=20012
  29. Hi...welcome to the Club most of these items you should be able to purchase through eBay....try this link which will take you to the Honda parts sections https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_1838652?mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&campid=5338938280&customid=HondaKW&toolid=20012 Also, costs are far cheaper than OE parts but try to stick to the best you can get for your budget, cheaper components won't last and can be of dubious quality
