  1. Ok thanks mate. If the condensation keeps coming back I will whip them out and have a proper look. Will the heat from headlights dry them out as I drive? Or could the vent holes be blocked?
  2. Hi there, Well Basically I cleaned the front of the headlights today but I noticed a fair bit of moisture inside the light. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop moisture from getting in? I don't have a problem taking them off. I will probably do it tomorrow as I have a 160 mile night trip to do. I read somewhere that you can take it out and fill it with water to see where water is getting in? I don't really want to but new lights if possible. Also I have a puddle under my spare wheel in the boot. It's quite a lot of water in there. Is it probably the boot seal? tia
  3. Ok thanks for the advice. I just realized that it has got EPS. So I am confused about the full lock thing now. I think I under tightened the belt so I did it again today to about 6-7mm roughly and haven't had a squeal since. Yeah the college is in a bit of a crisis right now but fingers crossed because I am enjoying myself there so far.
  4. Really sorry mate, Totally missed your post. I'm at Highbury college. I asked them for help and they said yes but I haven't been for 5 weeks due to staff shortage and with it being xmas. So I couldn't wait that long and decided to have crack at it today. I bought a dayco belt and got the job done. It was a bit hard to get to but it wasn't too difficult. I just hope I got the tension right because it doesn't have an auto tensioner. It has like a worm drive adjuster plate I think it is called and a wing nut to do the tension. I just went for a drive and I still have squeal although not as bad. Especially near full lock. Does this mean it's probably a pulley issue? The AC and Alternator pulleys look good but the crankshaft pulley had some wobble. Is that likely the problem?
  5. Cheers mate, I am only just starting to collect tools but I can use tools and ramps at college probably. So it's just a case of if I can do it. I'm going to ask my trainer tomorrow what he thinks.
  6. Hi, I have loud squeeling coming from my car, It looks like the drive belt. I wanted to ask how hard it is to change yourself? I am training to be a mechanic but I am only 3 months into that. Is this something I should take on myself and how difficult is it? tia
  7. Hi everyone, I just joined, I bought an old 02 civic a few months back to get me around and here learn a bit more about cars in general as I am training to be a mechanic. I need to replace my drivebelt as well so hopefully I can grab some advice. Cheers, see you in the forums.
