Nope. I think I will go for a genuine one £££££ as there isn’t any good branded aftermarket one for petrol models. And there is no point getting a second hand one.

Hi so last week someone did a hit and run on the front of my frv. It’s bang on the centre and bumper is smashed and bonnet lip bent. I managed to get the bonnet open but now it won’t fully close so effectively it’s just open and in the latch. I can open the bonnet from the outside without using the bonnet release from the interior. This also means that the alarm doesn’t fully set (or so I think), as in when car is locked the indicators don’t flash and red dash light doesn’t come on. however randomly the alarm is going off sometimes through the night, or sometimes could go whole day and it won’t go off at all. I have covered the bonnet with a blanket and tucked it into the open gaps hoping that the wind or rain won’t trigger the alarm through the bonnet but this hasn’t really worked. I am trying to eliminate it being the interior sensors but not sure to disarm them? Any ideas. for now I have to leave 1 door unlocked so alarm doesn’t set at all.

Hi I need to replace all 4 springs at some point as they are corroded. I don’t want the car lowered so looking for similar springs. Can’t find a part number anywhere and no idea what oem springs are suitable. Does anyone know?

A year later after the driver side mirror motor packed in, the passenger side now has too. I can’t find a black one at any breakers that is power folding. i don’t suppose anyone has one?

I did manage to get the door panel off in the end. Waiting for a replacement lock to arrive before smashing off the old one.

I had the same issue and replaced with a genuine part and the light hasn’t been on since.

Hi all, our front passenger door won’t open from inside or outside on frv. Any ideas what the problem would be and how I can get it open to pull the door card off?

Thank you. I did manage to remove the glass in the end quite easily as I already had the entire wing mirror off the car. I couldn’t remove the pins that connect the wires though as they appear corroded and didn’t want to tug them too much. How can I remove these without damagin the soldering that attaches to the glass backing?

Does anyone know how to remove the mirror glass from wing mirror. Tried prying it from the bottom but didnt work unless it needs to be done with more force but didnt want to break it. Is there any clips that need releasing

Hi all, can back to my 06 frv yesterday in a car park and found the drivers side mirror had been fully pushed back. Normally when this happens can usually just push it back and after a few attempts the power folding sorts itself out and gets in sync. However this time the whole mirror is just flimsy and can be folded in by hand and easily. When turning the car on can hear the motor in the mirror whirring away constantly and doesn’t stop and power folding does not engage. is this fixable or should I look for a replacement mirror? Does anyone know how to take the mirror unit apart and what I should be looking for?

Does the unit just pull out or you have to remove the dash? I see on pictures that the unit has 3 screws so assume these are behind the dash?

Hi did you manage to replace the window control unit in the end? Was it just the switch or the whole thing? I have a loose drivers switch on the control unit which functions but as the button is loose has become very sensitive to the touch, it’s only a matter of time before the window gets stuck in the down position!

Hi does anyone know how to remove the master window control unit from the dashboard and also if a single switch can be replaced or the whole unit needs replacing. The driver window switch has become loose. thanks

Hi there everyone, a few years ago I replace one of the o-rings on the power steering pump as the fluid was bubbling and getting a whining sound when driving. This resolved the issue then but this has now come back and I can't find the part number anywhere. Does anyone have this please? It was an orange o-ring. Thanks
