  1. Hi well good news , I have an update disc for my 2005 crv but the maps are 2019 but my head unit won't read it honda wants £250 for there disc which is out of date any way of do I pay the alpine engineer £150 to fit a new laser so it will read the out of date update
  2. Hi mate here it it https://www.diyspareparts.com/parts/honda/master-cylinder-a-46100skne21/
  3. Hi I had some problems but with the alpine unit on a 2005 crv, I did a hard reboot by pulling the power leads for ten minutes when you reconnect it should reboot system and GPS , there is a guy in North London that fixes honda sat navs he had an add on E bay
  4. Hi on eBay and Amazon there is an interface for the steering wheel controls https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351711790721?hash=item51e3a80681:g:N2MAAOSwiVJbP44v https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263061627301?hash=item3d3fb1e1a5:g:nukAAOSw5kBbMjor
  5. I think as Hondas are high on the reliability of makes the forum quiet , it was the same on the jazz forum Great forum hope it stays for good
  6. The 2.0 vtec is good for over 200k make oil and filters are done to keep engine sweet , I have had 6 plus Hondas and never had a engine problem
  7. Hi the start judder is a common problem it's the start clutch , I changed the oil drove 500 miles and changed it again this fixed it but not for long , so I was told by a honda tech what they do is change the oil then do a clutch burn , car in gear brakes hard on and rev to 1500 for a second then do it again after second burn change oil again , I have never tried it and honda charge about £500 , but it will come back ,if you want the oil e bay is the cheapest for the genuine honda cvt oil , a start clutch kit is about £1600 then you need to get it fitted , my jazz had 110k on it but judder is not as bad as my wife's which only has 60k
  8. All I can say is they don't all rust , it depends on how it's look after , I may just be lucky with mine it's mint it's had 5 owners but they all looked after it , don't rush into buying the first one you see find a good one , they do come up mine cost £3k
  9. Hi I have a 2005 crv auto fully loaded with 110k on the clock and it drives like it's 20k , I have always had Hondas and have never been let down , the crv is well built and does 27 mpg. Things the look at are front discs and pads on a high mileage, but to be honest it it's be look after 100k is just run in , to help the engine last oil and filter is important the sat nav in the early ones do play up a little and it's hard to get updated maps most owners just fit a new unit as it's cheaper than update maps from honda which is about £200 and is 2011 map which will be out of date again soon
  10. That kit from Halfords is brilliant
  11. Hi everyone I am a long time now man, started off with an accord then a civic del sol which after went back to an accord then jumped to an integra type R , then a jazz and now a CRV which I love to old for racing about these days
