  1. If I don't drive my car for a week, the car will not start. I seem to have narrowed it down to fuse no6 ( radio and interior lights) in the footwell. I have the switches turned off, removed all the blubs, booth and doors, not the sun visors or glove box, this stop the drain, in September I had the car locked for seven days, with fuse no6 removed and car started ok. I have noticed that when the engine is running, tested a few times going to work on a 30 mile journey, with multimeter connected into the lighter socket, I get no more than 13.4 Volts on the DC system. I changed the battery as well at the start of the summer. Any ideas?
  2. To open or lock the 2007 saloon, I need to have the fob up close to the front windows, it will not work if I am at the booth. Tried both keys, checked the batteries and replaced them anyway. About two or three times a year, the alarm will go off outside my house, off road parking.
  3. Six months ago, I had problems with the left front brakes, caliper was sticking so it was replaced. All go since. Last week I notice the wheel and caliper behind it is hotter at times compared to the right one, this gets warm, the rears are cold. Brakes are working fine and no alarms up on the dash,
  4. Hi All, 2008 Diesel Saloon ( 2003 to 2008). In the last few months the alarm would go off in the car. What was interesting was the indicators were not flashing, and anything I did, remote locking and key locking, starting and driving the car made no difference, alarm still going off. It happen a few times when I was out, car was at home. I think after about 15 minutes it would stop. I did try disconnecting the car battery and once I would connect it up again , off it would go again. Any ideas? Other info, Car seemed slow to start for a while, then one day not enough power to start, fitted new battery Ok now ( Mid Nov 2022) For about six months the remote opening from the key ( same for both keys with new batteries) I have to have the key nearly touching the door glass for it to work. Yesterday the car failed to start and was slow this morning and this evening when going to work ( one hour journey) . Checked voltage with engine off once home and it is 12. 3 volts.
  5. Thanks for that, It corrected itself, but had the same problem going from BST to GMT in Oct 2022. After a while it went 2 hours fast, I was able this time to adjust the clock back two hours in the sat nav screen.
  6. Hello, My car, a 2008 2.2 CDTI EX saloon has the sat nav built in. For the last two years the car has only done 8k where it is normally 20k per year. This March, when summer time came in, the clock stayed on GMT. This is the first time this has happen in 13 years of ownership. Another thing that adjusted itself is my stay nav always had time of arrival on the display, now it shows the length of time required for the journey. I tried changing some settings in the menu, but to no avail. The Nav has come up with a disc fault twice in the last six months, but it restarts ok when I turn the engine off and on again. I leave in Ireland, just wondering if any time signals were shut down with the Brexit, the car originally came from the UK.
