  1. Hi All Noob to the forum, but I've been driving Hondas for the last 15+years. Currently have an original Gen1 Insight in daily use (274k miles or there abouts) and a sorry looking EK civic Jordan I'm trying to sell (sorry for starting with a for sale ad). Prior to this I've had a '97 DC2 which was THE best car ever and a similar age Accord Coupe.
  2. Selling my Civic Jordan, this was a great little car in daily use which just need of a bit of cosmetic tidying up, but sadly the timing belt went recently (tensioner pulley seized I reckon, but not checked yet) and I have not the enthusiasm to sort it (it was getting a bit small as a family car with 2 kids anyway). This is basically my advert cut and pasted from ebay, any questions just ask. Honda Civic VTi Jordan in reasonable condition for its age, mostly standard but with a few choice upgrades... but the timing belt has gone, so the engine needs a rebuild and frankly the paint has seen better days. Its a good honest car that was in regular use (happily doing a 90 mile commute no issues) until the timing belt went on the motorway (maybe that tensioner bearing was not in such good shape when I did the belt last). 6 former keepers and currently on 117712 miles (low mileage for the age). Private plate has been removed, its now on its original plate, V633FLE. Couple of weeks MOT left (not that its worth much in its current state). Bad Bits The paint and interior are that of a 22 year old car with 118k miles on it. Timing belt has snapped, so its going to want some new valves, honestly I'd probably re-hone and new piston rings while its out, it was becoming a little smokey/thirsty on the oil. I did stem seals a few years a go, its not those. Paint is looking tired and faded, i blew over the bonnet a few years back and now that is looking quite bad, there is no significant rust though, just a few surface blisters here and there (see pic of the bonnet to get an idea). Has a few dents here and there, as you might expect on a 22yr old car Good bits it's a nice and solid shell, and was a good runner Aircon works 2 keys and fobs User manual, service book etc and folder Partial history, past V5s MOTs and receipts for parts Decent tread on the tyres cup holders (everyone loves decent cup-holders Brake calipers were rebuilt a couple of years ago, all new seals etc. ASR rear subframe brace and 22mm ARB fitting kit Whiteline (I believe) 22mm ARB rear toe adjusters (D2 I think) Hardrace bushes throughout EP2 steering wheel restitched in yellow (original available) DC2 shift linkage for shorter throw MC brace Clifford alarm (needs new siren and intellistart needs setting up, but remote and immobiliser work fine) Alpine DAB headunit and Focal speakers. Engine has: OBD1 ECU re-capped and fitted with Moates Demon running Neptune RTP license (fully user re-mappable ecu, just add a laptop) PLX wideband (datalogs to the ECU) DC2 double valve springs and retainers Buddyclub P1 Spec III+ cams Skunk2 vernier cam gears EP3 injectors DC2 '98 spec exhaust manifold and sports cat Spoon Sports cat back centre section (N1) Mugen TwinLoop silencer Lightened flywheel Aluminium Rad It made just over 187bhp on a dynodynamics chassis dyno which would be typical Type-R numbers on that dyno. It was a decent running car in daily use until the timing belt went (tensioner bearing seized and snapped the belt). Pretty clean underneath the usual rust spots have been treated and undersealed every few years. These are getting rare (clean EK4s are getting rare, never mind Jordans) and prices going up, it would not take an awful lot to get this into very tidy condition. Could be fixed up with a hand full of new valves and fresh headgasket, but I would have a look at the rings/bores too while you are there as it was drinking over 1l of oil every 1000miles (this was only an issue after the car was laid up for 18 months a few years ago, so could well be just stuck rings). I have a stack of other bits for this, DC Sports stainless exhaust manifold, DC2 steering rack, AEM induction kit, Rulez Coil on Plug kit, Skunk 2 ported inlet manifold, Skunk2 Pro-Series throttlebody etc, that can be offered with the car at extra cost. Currently sat at a friends near Hedge End for collection, you will need a trailer/flatbed and winch. Advertised elsewhere so may withdraw auction at any time. Any questions just ask.
