  1. Hi. Has anyone got any suggestions about how to improve the fuel economy that does not involve tips on driving behaviour. For example remapping, or new microchip, etc? Many thanks. Pete
  2. I have the Honda fluid, I'm Asking about the filer!
  3. I had the same problem with my Civic. I bought a new Chinese unit and replaced the whole thing. It now works perfectly.
  4. I have tried to pin down the type of auto transmission fluid filter I need for my 2011 Civic auto 1.8 i-VTEC. There appears to be different types but all listed as suitable replacements. Has anyone else come across this. Also will replacing the old fluid increase the mpg as it is pretty poor. If not are there any suggestions as to improving the mpg. I am not a heavy footed driver! Any advice would be very much appreciated. Pete
  5. Thanks for getting back to me but it's not that. Had the radio removed from the dash and it has been thoroughly examined but nothing has been found. I'm replacing the battery as a Honda dealer said it could be caused by dead cells but I can't see how. If this does not work I have decided to replace the whole unit.
  6. Frustrated to find out what is causing the radio to stop working. I have a 2011 Civic 1.8 i-VTEC and when I start up the display shows 'Radio' 1 but as soon as any control is touched it displays '1 AF ON' and none of the switches or dials work. The fuses are checked and seem fine, then all of a sudden it will be working again and now it doesn't work at all.
  7. I have bought an automatic civic 5 door 1.8 i-VTEC SE registered 30.03/2011. Since owning this car it was unable to start after 20 minutes of having the ignition on whilst checking the dashboard with the manual. Yet when I tried again 10 minutes later it started first time. Next the remote could not activate the lock to allow entry so I had to use the key. Then the radio decided to refuse to work and defaulted to AUX but it would not turn on and none of the buttons worked. Yet 4 days later it worked fine. The following day the remote unlocked the door but the radio is not working again. I contacted a Honda dealer who said it was a battery problem and I might have 1 or 2 dead cells causing the different faults. I do not want to pay £70 for a new battery if this is not the problem. Has anyone had the same or similar problem. I would be eternally grateful if I could resolve this. Thanks. Pete
