  1. Took the car in this morning to get dealer to eradicate the creaking sound in the cabin and of course asked them about that welcoming chime: as I feared the bloke confirmed that it can't be deactivated. Grrrrrrrrrrr!
  2. Sorry, Trevor, I've only just seen your second reply re the chime scenario. Handbook uninformative in this connection. On Wednesday it's got to go in for the dealer to hopefully eradicate a slight but annoying creak in the rear n/s of the cabin so I'll ask them about the chime at the same time. Reiterated thanks.
  3. Thanks, Trevor, much appreciated. On a separate subject: can the infuriating bing‐bong chime be deactivated? How? I so h a t e it! It assails my ears before I've even sat down behind the wheel. (Mk4 Jazz.)
  4. Please, please, please will someone assure me that it can be permanently deactivated, I h a t e it! How to achieve?
  5. Anyone know where I can obtain a matt black cover to prevent sunshine glare from the shiny dash reflecting glare on the windscreen? Also, do Honda offer an aftrrmarket catalytic conveter protection cage? I gather Honda cars are espeiecially prone to having their cats stolen... or maybe a specialist company alternative supplier?
  6. Hello folks On Wednesday I pick up a '21 plater, 9,000 miles on the clock, formerly owned by Honda Management. I'm looking forward to acquisition, though I think those white snowflake wheel trims are quite THE most hideous I've ever seen. (I dub them 'Toy‐Town Twiddles'.) I'd be interested to hear from other owners as to how you fare driving over potholes as I gather the way it 'copes' with these particular obstacles is one of the car's weaker points... Is that your experience too?
