Scanny Posted October 22, 2021 Share Posted October 22, 2021 Hi guys, i have a 2006 honda civic 1.8, a few months ago when not started for a couple of days the battery would drain, and i would have to jump start, then all would be fine as long as i started and ran the car daily, the past couple of weeks as soon as i turn off the engine the car is dead and will not start, i changed the battery a few months ago thinking it was that, the car runs fine when running, i am reluctant to take to a garage as im worried they will throw the parts cannon at it, Also i did remove the bluetooth module as i had heard that this was a common problem with these cars, it made no diference thanks steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevor Posted October 25, 2021 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Hi Steve....welcome to the Club I assume it is taking a drain from the battery through something in the vehicle (boot light, alarm, alternator) I would suggest taking it to an independent auto electrician who can trace the fault with correct diagnostic procedures.
