Joe7
Is this a good choice? Is it as reliable as the previous generation model ? What about the catalytic converter on this model ? Is it still easy to get it stolen ? If so, what can be done to prevent it from being stolen ? Edited February 25, 2022 by Joe7
Mike Moss
Well Joe7 a year ago I swapped a Merc E class estate (the last in 20 years of the same make/model) for a 2009 Jazz. It has been superb, doing everything the Merc did (apart from not having as much room in the boot) and has been totally and utterly reliable. One very welcome difference has been swapping 17-23 mpg for 46-53mpg. I, too, worried about cat theft but as far as I have been able to tell this is very much more difficult on the 2008 onwards models where the cat is between the back of the engine and the firewall. I find the Jazz fun to drive, everything works perfectly and it is just amazingly practical with our border collie loving the space made free for her by those magic seats.
