Torniker Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Hello, I have a 2011 CRV 4WD with 140,000 miles. Last year, I noticed a delay when shifting into second gear, and it became jerky. I took it to a mechanic who replaced the transmission fluid, but the issue actually got worse. He then replaced the solenoid, which seemed to help for a few months. After another visit to the mechanic, the diagnostic test indicated an issue, so I ordered new solenoids and had them all replaced. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. Currently, it struggles to shift into second gear. When it does manage to engage, accelerating causes the engine to rev up, and it slips back out of gear.
Trevor Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Not sure, but sounds like it needs reprogramming to learn the shift positions. A Honda dealership should be able to perform this operation Sometimes (on other vehicle makes) it can be done manually by resetting the system and driving it to learn the shift patterns but I think it may be best to take to Honda on this occassion
