The indicated mileage is based on your last driving habit along with external and internal temperature together with battery temperature. Is A.C on, heater fan, seat heats, radio, phone charger switched on, etc. etc.?

Might help if the make, model, variant, year of manufacture were mentioned.

Reading about other people's issues with vehicles, particularly EV's on the internet sites, many are giving advice on how to do this. Believe me it is not something you really want to do. For example, after six months of issues, the burden of proof shifts to you—you must prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase. Not all faults present themselves within this time frame and you will still be charged for usage, mileage and damage, however small this may be! depreciation, Etc. Etc. Best to try and sort out your complaints under the manufacturer's warranty. Keep a journal of all that crops up, dates, places, pictures of visual warnings displayed on the instrument panel, speed at the time, where it occurred, what other interventions did you do to try and clear or correct the fault, if possible, how long it lasted. It all becomes a nightmare. Not easy to do, best avoided.

Hello Davey, sorry to hear of your issues, ours was done whilst we waited, about an hour or so. When I asked what the update was for they not quite sure but sems ok, we have only used our own 7.4 Kw and a fast charge twice but all good. Only issue we had was the car had never been filled with A.C gas, from new apparently, time will tell, personally I expect it to lose it all shortly then they may start investigating why it was empty and after many, many hours they'll find one. I feel 4 months is not a reasonable time, but who determines what is reasonable? Rejecting a vehicle is a nightmare and not an easy process. Keep in touch. Regards

The WLTP cycle consists of four phases—Low, Medium, High, and Extra High—representing different driving speeds and conditions. These phases include starts, accelerations, stops, and varying speeds to mimic urban, suburban, and highway driving. No headwinds, side winds, hills, passengers, Etc. Etc. The energy consumption is measured by dividing the usable battery energy by the energy consumption per kilometer. For example, if a car has a usable battery capacity of 77 kWh and consumes 140 Wh/km, the WLTP range would be calculated as 550 km. While WLTP still doesn't account for variables like weather, driving style, or terrain, which can significantly impact real-world range

Is everyone with a EN:Y1 aware there is a software update at your dealer to update the charging of the vehicle, not sure what it is for exactly but getting it done this Friday. Possibly to cure faults arising following fast charge...

Hi, Philip, I too have an ENY:1 the figures you give do resemble the real world, sadly the WLTP rubbish is way, way off. It should be stopped as it gives one a false impression of achievable range, a range one could never reach. You can however gain a little mileage by pre-conditioning the vehicle prior to a journey, especially by charging fully and leaving the charger on and connected, obviously, this uses mains power to pre-heat the battery and cabin, this I have found gives about 10-15% extra miles when in ECO. Sadly, the ombudsman will do nothing until we get a more suitable way of range indication. Winter doesn't last too long anyway so hang in there. What's not fit for purpose is the WLTP not the car. Honda have to comply with this ridiculous way of range estimation as all manufacturers do.
