HR-V 2022 onwards

  1. Started by drmamunhasan,

Hello My 2022 Honda HRV is becoming very unreliable. On three occasions the battery died. Recently I was waiting for a car wash in line after punching the code. My turn came, I could not start the car when car wash door open. People had to push me through the car wash bay. I had my radio on only. Other occasions I was waiting at a medical clinic to pick up my wife after her appointment. The battery was dead around 4:30 pm. I called Honda Roadside Assistance, they came at 1:30 am and boosted the vehicle. I had to take an Uber to bring back my car. It cost me two Uber rides out of my pocket. I booked appointment at Honda to get things check out. They…

  3. My HRV was recently Serviced by local Arnold Clark garage that I’d bought it from who assured me that although they were not Honda main dealers ( their Honda place is miles away) all work would be Honda approved and Warranty compliant, so I included a service plan when buying. Picked the car up and it sounds like a freight train. Arnold Clark garage say basically “ nothing to do with us Guv, we used approved oil and filter, take it to a main dealer “ called the Arnold Clark Honda folk ( at the start of July) and they said “Earliest we can look at car is 11/9/2024, if you want it done before then take it to another Honda Dealership” Took it to another i…

  5. Started by Welbeck,

I have a 66 plate HR-V EX with electric folding mirrors. The problem I have is they have a mind of their own, and keep opening and closing whilst driving the vehicle. Sometimes they will close for up to 5 mins and there’s nothing I can do to open them again. clearly an electrical / motor issue, has anyone else experienced a similar problem with their HR-V and what suggestions or advice can you offer please? The vehicle has only covered 27,000 miles. obvs the vehicle is now out of warranty. kind regards 🙂

  6. Morning all. Back in January i purchased my first Honda and bought the E-HRV 2022 Advanced model. The car itself is great but the stereo is a little lacking in bass, i was wondering if anyone has / knows if it is possible to add a subwoofer to the media unit? I know the advanced+ came with one and there are a few aftermarket underseat options, but i am not sure if they can be added / how easy it is?

  7. I've just bought a new "24" plate HR-V Hybrid Advance Style which, according to the manual, has the Traffic Sign Recognition System fitted which can show both speed signs and traffic signs. However, the system only ever shows speed signs but never any traffic signs. The dealership cannot understand this and don't know how to fix it and a query direct to Honda UK unhelpfully tells me to go back to the dealership. Has anyone any knowledge of this issue or whether it is still an active system?

  8. My dad has ordered a new HR-V (Elegance trim) that arrives in late January 2024. The dealership said it would not come with floor mats and asked for £120 for some. If this is the case, does anyone know the Honda part number, so we can source our own (OEM) ones?

  9. Does anyone know how to enable this basic functionality? I can not find the setting on the touchscreen. The little lights on the side mirrors are not visible from every angle to know if the car lock or not.

  10. My dad picks up his Honda HR-V at the end of the month (January 2024). We were wondering - Does the car allow pre-heating/cooling via the Honda app?

  13. I've got a deposit for the MY 2021/22 HRV and wishing to avoid that bi-colour roof I've opted for the 'Advance'. I'd prefer the 'AS' light grey interior but noted that you can get an alternative brown or black 'Leather X Alston' interior for the (very ...ahem) reasonable cost of £ 1700.00. This option is secreted amongst 'accessories' on the configurator. Does anyone have any idea what this like, what it is, had any experience of it directly or anecdotally....? I'm drawing a complete blank on 't'internet so far. I know you'll say: "just get the Advance Style".... but I can't abide how they've simply painted a line across the 'C' pillar and call i…
