Upgrading CRV brake pads to Ceramic or better than standard

Featured Replies

Hello all, I was just enquiring if any one had done this, Im looking to replace my pads with something a little more purposeful and wonder anout ceramics?

Mainly as I do trailer and where I live and work I spend a significant amount of time up and down the valleys of wales, with decent down hill stretches.

Are these available uk side?

2013 CRV SR 1.6

Many thanks

D

I would consider something like Greenstuff or Redstuff brake pads which would be more suitable to coping with higher brake temperatures when towing.
The downside is that they take longer to warm up so efficiency when cold is quite poor.

There is a tuning firm in Wrexham who can advise you on this. There's various options open to you. Bigger discs , 4 pot calipers with better pads. I don't know about ceramics but I do know they will be expensive. I think the company is called Ripspeed.
