EllaR Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Can anyone help? Honda recently changed the battery in my 67 plate HRV, after they changed it they said all the lights were on and it has a VSA unit fault, which will cost £2000 to replace. There was not a fault before replacing the battery and everything was working fine. Has anyone had a similar issue?
Trevor Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Sounds like either they haven't reprogrammed the VSA to register the new battery voltage or it needs the battery negative lead disconnecting for about 30 minutes and reconnecting to learn the new settings
EllaR Posted July 4, 2022 Author Posted July 4, 2022 Hi Trevor, thank you. If I tried takeg the lead off would it mess anything up?
Trevor Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Maybe research the internet for more precise information but if there is a major fault already in existence since the battery change then nothing lost and maybe worth a try?
