My faithful Honda died on me for the 1st time in 300000 miles. Car suddenly cut out displaying fuel injection fault. Green flag was unable to fix at side of road due to no tools and diagnostic tool wouldn't connect and I quote mechanic " this piddly thing is useless, not like those large diagnostic tools in dealerships" Joke.

 

Got the car home and placed a proper diagnostic tool " Fuel rail low pressure fault"

Car has no fuel pressure.

Car started on sniff but miss firing and a concerning noise from the rocker cover. Not a good sound. 

Mechanic thinks something has seized on the top cam shafts. I am trying to save the car as I have had it from new and has never let me down until now.

 

Any ideas what it maybe please?

Haven't encountered this issue before but oil quality, condition and level comes to mind as a possible cause
