rayintheuk Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Hello everyone. Can anyone advise me on the subject of CR-V headlamp glass. Mine are a slightly cloudy finish which doesn't wipe away. Can anyone tell me if it's a permanent effect that is impossible to remove or polish out, or can the effect be removed somehow. I see that replacements are expensive even from breakers yards. Thanks for your attention. Ray
Alan gsd Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I have the same problem on my 2005 CRV have tried lots of products and ideas from others, nothing has worked for me. Alan
Lagotto Posted September 10 Posted September 10 When I bought my 2006 CR-V I could see that the headlight lenses were very poor, really yellow. I did some searching and found a highly recommended product, 3M 39073 Headlight Lens Restoration Kit. I thought I would give it a try, not expecting too much. However, following the instructions to the letter, I was very surprised to find the result was quite amazing. Both lenses are now crystal clear and like new.
Alan gsd Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Few days a go (before I saw they have a kit for this) I cleaned my yellowish/dirty headlights using paste from a tube of T Cut scatch remover lightly rubbing with a old bit of toweling it removed all the yellowiing and they now have a nice shine not like new but certainly took some years off. No tools needed.
