    Grease or oil or even water on the clutch plate can cause judder, also thrust bearing worn or sticking on the pivot ???

I am the owner of a 204 Honda Civic Exc,, with 49,000 miles on the clock; but looking at buying a CRV - Could be Petrol or Diesel engined? Will need some advising an that purchase.
