Honda jazz/fit import engine oil query
Trevor replied to Pat1964's topic in Jazz / Crosstar 2020 onwards
It worth checking the Castrol Oil Selector site to confirm if there is an alternative oil https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/car-engine-oil-and-fluids/motor-oil-and-fluids-finder.html -
I have found that using an ABS sensor from the same model of car but another corner (has to be as long if not longer) does work - e.g. O/S/R for use in N/S/R or either one of the front wheels Also, has to be the same fitting but as the resistance is not too different (higher. lower) so it does function and then you just loop the cable so its tucked out of the way

Oh definitely one with gum protection as well 🙂

Good morning everyone. I would need help to know the reference number of the brake pads for the "NISSIN 16cl14vnh" calipers that I have on my car. This is because when I was looking for parts, I saw that they are available for the AKEBONO and SUMITOMO systems and I was confused which one would be recommended. So if anyone can indicate the correct reference of the brake pads for the NISSIN braking system. By the way, is the VIN of the car LUC GG3 760 9321 7653, if that can help? I also leave an image of the brake caliper that I refer to. Thanks

Advice to resolve screen wash leak drivers side rear footwell
Jazzmatt replied to 2nd Honda Jazz's topic in Jazz 2008 to 2015
I have the same issue. The rear footwell behind the driver is getting soaked after the wash bottle has been filled. The wash bottle loses liquid without the washers being activated. i will try and access the area and sort a fix based on the advice here. -
Hi. Had the car 18 months - 2 years now but used it longer as it was the in-laws so drove it a fair bit before we bought it from them when they moved onto a Jazz.

CR-V RD9 2006 UK 2.2 Diesel - Intermittent Crank No Start
Goonersman replied to Goonersman's topic in CR-V 2001 to 2006
Testing update. I temporarily removed the ECU. With the ECU removed, the dashboard lights are the same as when the fault is present. i.e no EML and no glow-plug light. This leads me to believe the root problem is with the power supply to the ECU. I rigged a test lamp to 15A fuse 17 in the fusebox near the steering column. I belive this is the fuse for the ECU supply. This fuse is live when the iginition switch is on, with or without the ECU installed. The fuse is not live when the ignition switch is off. Question:- is the power supply to the ECU (fuse 17) switched via a relay? If yes, where is this relay? -
I had an old model (1st generation) CR-V drive past me yesterday and it was kitted out for off-road. Have to say it looked very impressive and judging by this video it is not all show but indeed can go offroad as well

Toothpaste is apparently very good as a scrub to remove the build up on the lenses

Do you have fault code(s) from the vehicle? If you could narrow it down to what exactly is bringing the warning light on then it may be easier to diagnose. Sometimes written on the invoice or if not, then ask the dealer for the codes they extracted from the engine management ECM

Hi i have a 2014 crv that I’m having problems with, about 8 weeks ago I was driving down the moter way, lost power and my filter light and engine management light came on, took it to the Honda garage they replaced the filters and sent me on my way, never even made it home before my engine management light was on again, back into the garage the following day. They put stuff in the tank to clear it, 4 weeks later lights back on, back into garage, they couldn’t find a fault, stuff in tank again, never made it home again without the light coming on, replaced sensors that they thought it could of been, again the light came on after driving about 3 miles, they still can’t find a fault. Im about £2000 down and the engine lights still on, iv to take it back on Monday but they don’t know what’s going on any ideas/suggestions?. Thanks

I'm not an expert or even near being one, but I would say it's very uncommon, my 2005 CRV is my first honda and it's so well finished and everything fits like a glove. Sounds and looks like a hard 48K miles. Alan

Hi looking for help I own a 2015 1.6 idtec CRV end of last year it lost power on the motorway badly but we managed to crawl off and call the AA. Recovery man scanned car and only code was MAF signal high at this point he recommended egr check and didn't trust code to be accurate but I changed MAF anyway Cox genuine part but still faulting and if fault happened again I'd strip it down to check egr valve. This fault has happend many times now but I can get car back by turning it off and then back on can't understand why its killing all the power and I mean all of it for just the maf also when driving the car it feels unhappy at 50mph which I think is when is has faulted on most or maybe all instances. Now my issue I've started to strip it down but carbon deposits are little to none on the low pressure egr yes it has two god now's why but I tried finding out as much about this engine before I dived in but that's not easy seems Honda's best kept secret. Next thinking is clean and reassemble what I stripped now and monitor is it happens again I've got to try and get to high pressure side and checked cooler side of system. Sorry for the long post but if any one can suggest things to check I be very grateful.
