Hi , we are new to the forum and have a Honda Civic type S petrol for sale , great history inc cambelt change , its done just over 200k but is exeptinally clean for the year and mileage. Just wondered whether the guys on here who appreciate the quality and engines from Honda would give me some valuation advice.

Hi all I'm Irfan from Preston, Lancs. Was wondering if anyone knows a breaker or where I can get (just) the casing for the handbrake. I have a 2010 2.2 i-cdti Civic and have searched the web for a while but can only find full kits for £40 or so on e-bay. I just need the shell as the top inch or so has cracked. Apologies if this has already been posted - anyone experienced or can offer advice on the following : When starting the car, if I press the ignition button on it's own, sometimes it takes a couple of attempts of turning over until the car starts. But if I keep the clutch pressed down and then push the ignition, it starts…

Hi everyone I am mainly here as I have never ever driven a Honda before apart from a test drive on an auto 1.6 diesel SR about 2 months ago which I liked. I am currently looking at a year old Civic saloon 1.6 diesel SR. I was wondering if anyone had one, any thoughts, real world mpg and anything else you could think of that may help advise me before I buy one! I currently drive a BMW 118d sport automatic 5 door so that’s what I am transferring from. My reasoning for looking at this car is reliability, running costs, practicality (future proofing for a potential family), warranty due to age and I actually like the look of the car. …

Hi, I’m new here. Our Peugeot 108 lease is about to end and we are looking to upgrade by buying a used Honda Civic. We are expecting to spend between £3000 and £6000. I know Honda have a good reputation for reliability which is what attracted us. I see there are various petrol engine options 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 1.0 and diesels. I’m interested to hear opinions please on whether one of these engines is generally thought of as the best or the one to steer clear of. Any advice really appreciated, as I have no experience with Civics yet.
