Hi did start a DPF thread on the Accord forum but guessing it probably applies to more than one vehicle in their range. But as I did not get a reply tried to hunt around the net but came up blank so put a complaint into Honda. Did get too escalations but not much joy help wise but thought I would share their reply and my take on it. Probably do this in two parts. first up an overview then tomorrow will try and clarify how the first stage DPF regen works as that really threw me. forgive me if I mess up with any images. Honda’s position on their diesel cars is:- “Please be advised that the Diesel Particulate Filter is an exhaust component which…

Hi all.I have just asked to review the service history for my Honda Jazz 2023 purchased Oct 2024.The history has that it had body repairs to the value of £950 only done a few days before purchase & a bumper swap a few days after my deposit was paid. Not a word was said about this.Has the Honda garage got the right to hide these details from me?I am now selling the car but obviously have to provide the service history for my p/ex which could maybe impact the sale???Would appreciate what owners thoughts are please.Thank you.

Hello there I have a 2006 Honda FR-V Sport (2.0L petrol) with original Honda roof bars (but not the later roof rails). The manual doesn't specify the safe dynamic roof load limit for the vehicle unfortunately. Searches online coming up with wildly different figures in the range of 50Kg-75Kg-100Kg. Does anyone know where I can find this information as despite searching, im still none the wiser. Many thanks Duncan

hi so I have two remote fobs for a 2009 Honda Civic and they are beginning to not work very well. You have to press loads of times for the thing to lock or unlock. I have obviously cleaned the connections and changed the batteries, but they must be 16 years old.....so they are wearing out. so my question is this, can you replace the fobs 3rd party without having to pay the million pound to Honda? I noticed Amazon selling the shell to these fobs, but they have like 3 star ratings so I dont trust them. The keys still work in the doors, but would prefer the fobs to work thanks

My 2021 CR-V went into Brayley’s Honda, Ewell on 17 December 2024 and they identified the problem as the Brake Pedal Simulator. The part was ordered on 18 December, none were available in the UK so the part was put on ‘back order’ and finally arrived from Japan on 14 March. With the repair completed, I got the car back on 19 March 2025 after 92-days! Have to say that Brayley’s, who thought I qualified for a complementary hire car were pretty good but Honda UK were awful. They said that I was not entitled to a hire car as my vehicle was out of warranty even though the repair was being fixed as a ‘warranty’ repair and Honda were picking up the full cost of the part and …

Dear Members, I am looking for some advice.I have a 2019 Honda Civic VTEC 1.0 litre, 3 cylinder petrol automatic. No problems until two days ago. To explain - I am currently unable to drive due to a medical problem but should be resuming driving on May 7th (7 month ban). In order to stop the battery going flat I have run the engine (with car stationary) every 3 weeks for 15 minutes. Two days ago I tried to start the car. It would not start and I thought a nearly dead battery was the problem. I trickle charged the battery for 24 hours and tried again today. Dash lights up and starter motor turns but engine will not start. Any suggestions on likely causes and s…

Hi all, Im new here :). I am currently looking at a Honda Civic SE Executive, everything looks ok apart from the GOV website report that it has an outstanding recall on it and to contact local honda dealer. I have contacted them and they said that they can't give me any details on the recall due to GDPR!!. I've searched about and its recommended not to buy a vehicle with a recall. . is there any where I can get the recall information from? Also, would antone be able to explain why its not recommended to buy with outstanding recall if the dealership will be fixing it for free?

Hi all, I've have a Honda CRV 2010 and my rear window washer jet is blocked. I've followed the advice of you on this matter by reading up on others that have had the same problems and the suggestions that's been offered. I know the route of the pipes via a picture one of you posted so many thanks however I don't know how to remove the inside plastic panels to get to the pipe or how to take off the inner wheel arches without damaging the clips. Will the Haynes manual auto fix show me how?? I don't want to buy it and find it doesn't help, can any of you good people please let me know

I bought a new ENY1 in March 2024. I knew that the total miles at 100% was rubbish (about 250) but I didn't expect my surprise on the first cold day today I charged it overnight last night when the air temperature was -3 deg C. When I started the car this morning it said 100% charged. It also said 138 miles to empty I rang the Honda garage where I bought it from and they said I could expect a drop in cold weather as it didn't have a heat converter Can this be correct.? They did offer to have a look at to see if the computer needed a memory dump etc Thanks everyone Philip

I decided after checking how to access the washer bottle and seek out the leak from the near side headlight washer to leave well alone, however the dribble from the washer down the bodywork started to leave a white mark and annoy me. The dribble was coming from the spray hole and I tried to clean with a pin to see if it was the problem but to no avail. I have now sorted it!! A little bit of Blu Tack stopped it however I didn't like the sight of it so with a bit of trimming of a rubber grrommet and then pushed into the Blu Tack you can hardly tell!! Bodgit alive and well here!!!

Further to my first post earlier today, I've been looking at the above, and wondered if any members have used it, and if they thought it was a worthwhile purchase. I'm specifically interested in replacing the rear left wheel or hub bearing, and tracing and curing a power steering fluid leak. I've seen some info on U-tube. which is helpful, but I prefere a hard copy that I can have with me whilst working on the car. Tia, John

Hello All, Thank you for letting me join here to contribute and gain knowledge of our vehicles. My wife and I have a red 2022 CR V Touring edition. We have just had it now for just over 2 years and have 10,500 miles on it. We had a 2015 Touring that we sold with 29,000 miles on it prior to this purchase. I am a 78 year old male that has been around autos, trucks, motorcycles, tractors for a long time. I have done all of the work on our vehicles to keep them going. I am somewhat confused by the way her car ( BTW its our first and last turbo ) has responded to oil changes. I change the oil at 4800 -5000 miles. ( I always changed my oil at 3000, 3500 miles y…

Hello everyone, It's a pleasure to be on board. I have a '99 Honda Ballade 150i Luxline automatic. For those unfamiliar with this model from the South African market, it's basically a Civic. My automatic gearbox recently started shifting late, and eventually shifting roughly, and I discovered that the shift solenoid is dead. Unlike the more common engine sizes, the 150i auto only has one shift solenoid on the transmission. It looks different from any of the civic/ballade solenoids I've seen for sale online (I assume these are for different engine sizes). I'm having a tough time finding a replacement and I think it would help to figure out the part …
