  1. The Honda Jazz nameplate has been used by Honda of Japan to denote several different motorized vehicles since 1982: A 50 cc motorcycle introduced in 1986. Such a scooter (CHF50) still exists, and is currently on sale in Canada. The two models bear no relations to each other. The Japanese-market name for the badge-engineered version of the Isuzu Mu ( Isuzu Amigo ) short-wheelbase version, known elsewhere as the Opel Frontera, Holden Frontera, or Vauxhall Frontera. The European-market name for the Honda City Mk I from 1982 to 1986, as City was already trademarked by Opel. Honda Fit - A five-door hatchback automobile introduced in June 2001. The vehicle is known as the Fit in Japan, China, as well as in Americas. It is called the Jazz in Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, South East Asia, India and Africa.
  2. The Honda Stream is a compact MPV manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda since 2001. Japanese models have gasoline direct injection 1.7 L and 2.0 L engines with improved fuel efficiency. It was facelifted in January 2004. Its exterior design is a mix of compact MPV and station wagon; and its height (1.55 m) makes it hard to classify it precisely. Handling characteristics are more like a smaller hatchback than any other comparable compact MPV. A second generation 2007 model was officially presented on the 13th July 2006. First Generation (2001 - 2007) The first generation Honda Stream (Body codes: RN1/2/3/4/5) was a response to the sale success of the contemporaries like Mazda Premacy, which released earlier. It was largely based on the Civic, with the same flat chassis but added 100mm in length to accommodate the third row of seats. In advertising and promotional brochures Honda describes it as a sporty 7-seater. The first generation Honda Stream was available with a 1.7l D17 engine and a 2.0l K20, equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 5-speed automatic transmission with sequential mode respectively. For some export markets a manual version was also offered Second Generation (2007 - Present) The second generation Honda Stream (body codes: RN6/7/8/9) is offered internationally in two specification levels. The lower-end spec will feature the R18A 1.8 liter SOHC i-VTEC (2-stage) engine with a 5-speed automatic gearbox (and a 5-speed manual transmission in some countries). The higher-end spec called the Stream RS-Z will feature the R20A 2.0 liter SOHC i-VTEC (3-stage) engine equipped with a CVT transmission and 7 speeds paddle shift function (tiptronic). The RS-Z model also comes with firmer damping shock absorbers with anti-roll/sway bar for the rear setup. Stream RST (2009-) & TS (2010-) This variant of the Stream has only 2 rows of seats (5 seats). Source Wikipedia
  3. Steve posted a topic in Honda HR-V Club
The Honda HR-V is a mini SUV produced by the Japanese automaker Honda from 1999 until 2006. The abbreviation HRV officially stands for High Rider Vehicle although sometimes referred to as Hybrid Recreation Vehicle. The HR-V was introduced to cater for the demand for vehicles with the benefits of SUVs (in particular its bigger brother the Honda CR-V) such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, along with the maneuverability, performance and fuel economy of a smaller car (such as the Honda Civic). Its main competitors at the time include the Toyota Rav4 and the Land Rover Freelander. Known as one of the earliest low emissions vehicles (in terms of nitrogen oxides) and unique character, the HR-V is now considered one of the first original crossover SUVs. Originally designed as the "Wild and Joyfull J-WJ" concept vehicle and exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1997, the HR-V emerged as a futuristic and lightweight cross-country vehicle in 1998. The Honda HR-V was soon put into production due to its popularity, and marketed toward a younger demographic as the "Joy Machine" in 1999. The HR-V was shipped to Europe with either a 1.6L SOHC or a four-wheel drive SOHC VTEC engine. An automatic continuously variable transmission gearbox was also an engine option, however, the main criticism of the HR-V was the lack of a diesel engine option. The three door versions were discontinued in 2003 and five door versions in 2006. Unofficially, the Honda Crossroad (2008) is the follow-up to the HR-V. The Real Time 4WD system comes from the Honda CR-V and uses utilizes a Dual hydraulic Pump Rear Differential where the 4WD system is hydraulically activated when the front wheels lose traction. The HR-V also uses enhanced drive shafts and suspension. Variations were produced for Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, the Pacific Rim and for its home market of Japan. The HR-V was revised in 2002 with some exterior styling changes and a new interior. Ahead of its time in terms of design for pedestrian safety, the HR-V seats four people and includes modern safety features such as ABS brakes with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), dual SRS (supplemental restraint system) airbags, as well as other features such as electric mirrors, electric windows, folding rear seats, power steering, heat absorbing windows, air conditioning, front fog lights and a rear spoiler housing an LED brake light array. 4. The Honda Insight is a hybrid electric vehicle manufactured by Honda and the first production vehicle to feature Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system. The first-generation Insight was produced from 1999 to 2006 as a three-door hatchback. The 2000 Insight ranks as the most efficient United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified gasoline-fueled vehicle ever, with a highway rating of 61 miles per US gallon (3.9 L/100 km; 73 mpg-imp) and combined city/highway rating of 53 miles per US gallon (4.4 L/100 km; 64 mpg-imp). Honda introduced the second-generation Insight to its home market of Japan in February 2009. The car went on sale in the United States on March 24, 2009.[4] At $19,800 as a five-door hatchback it is the least expensive hybrid available in the US.[5] In December 2010, Honda introduced a less expensive base model for the 2011 model year priced US$18,200. The Insight was launched April 2009 in the UK as the most affordable hybrid on the market with a starting price from £15,490 (otr), which was more than £2,000 lower than other hybrids, and became the best selling hybrid for the month. Honda's Insight, billed as the cheapest gas-electric hybrid on the market, ranked as the top-selling vehicle in Japan for the month of April 2009, the first time a hybrid has clinched that spot. During its first twelve months after first available in the Japanese market, the second-generation Insight sold 143,015 units around the world. Source WikiPedia
  5. The Honda FR-V (Honda Edix in Japan) is a six-seater compact MPV introduced by Honda in 2004 and marketed until 2009. Alongside the Fiat Multipla, it is currently one of only two compact minivans with a 3+3 seating configuration available on the European market. Engines The FR-V is available with three gasoline and one Honda diesel-powered engine. 1.7 i-VTEC - 125 hp (93 kW; 127 PS) at 6300 rpm and 154 N·m (114 lb·ft) 4800 rpm 1.8 i-VTEC - 138 hp (103 kW; 140 PS) 2.0 i-VTEC - 150 hp (112 kW; 152 PS) at 6500 rpm and 192 N·m (142 lb·ft) at 4000 rpm 2.2 i-CTDi - 140 hp (104 kW; 142 PS) at 4000 rpm and 340 N·m (251 lb·ft) at 2000 rpm The 1.7 i-VTEC and 2.0 i-VTEC were replaced in spring 2007 by a new 1.8 i-VTEC from the Civic compact hatchback. At the same time some minor cosmetic changes were made (carbon effect interior, light cluster, and darker front grill). Source Wikipedia

The Honda S2000 is a roadster that was manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company. It was launched in April 1999 and was created to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. The car was first shown as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, following which it was launched in world markets in 1999. The S2000 is named for its engine displacement of 2 L, carrying on in the tradition of the S500, S600, and S800 roadsters of the 1960s. Several revisions were made throughout the car's lifetime, including changes to the engine, gearbox, suspension and interior and exterior. Officially two variants exist: the initial launch model was given the chassis code AP1, while the AP2 designation was given to vehicles produced from mid-2003 onwards. Though cosmetically similar, the AP2 incorporated significant changes to the drivetrain and suspension. Production of the S2000 ceased in June 2009. Source Wikipedia
  7. The Honda Concerto (Japanese: ホンダ・コンチェルト) was an automobile produced by the British division of the Japanese manufacturer, from 1988 to 1994. Like its predecessor, the Honda Ballade, it shared its platform with a Rover product, namely the Rover 200 and Rover 400. The Concerto was also manufactured and sold in Japan. The Concerto was sold in both liftback and sedan form. In most European countries, and Australia, it was sold as the five-door liftback version only. It acted as replacement for the discontinued Honda Integra five-door liftback in some markets. The saloon version lasted until 1993 for most nations, especially in the United Kingdom where sales were lower compared to the Rover 200 and Rover 400 Series, which was considered the more upmarket of the two vehicles. Engine choices were: 1.4 L (SOHC carb) with 88 hp DIN (65 kW) 1.5 L (SOHC SPI) with 90 hp DIN (66 kW) 1.6 L (SOHC MPI) with 115 hp DIN (85 kW) 1.6 L (DOHC MPI) with 130 hp DIN (96 kW) 1.6 L (DOHC carb) with 106 hp DIN (80 kW) 1.8 TD turbodiesel, Peugeot-engined, sold in France, Italy and Portugal only (as a badge engineered Rover 200 diesel) In Japan and other Asian/Australasian countries, the Concerto was also available with an SOHC 1.6 L dual carb engine. Four-wheel drive was also an option in Japan. The Concerto was sold internationally on a platform which was larger than the popular Civic. Just like the 5-door Integra it replaced, it offered more features than the Civic and was more prestige market. One difference between the British built and Japanese built Concertos was that the front suspension - versions built in Longbridge had MacPherson struts unlike their Japanese counterparts which had double wishbones. Honda stopped manufacturing the Concerto in Great Britain when its partner, Rover, was taken over by BMW in 1994. Up until that point the two companies had been merged up to 20% equally with each other and had collaborated with this model and many others in both companies ranges. The Concerto's replacement in Japan was the Domani, which was the basis for the succeeding Rover 400 and 45. In Europe, 5-door hatchback and estate variants of the Domani were sold as a Civic, in order to avoid having two different nameplates in the lower midsize segment. source wikipedia
  8. What car cleaning and wax do you use on your Honda? I like using R222 R222 100% Carnauba Wax is R222’s first car wax made with only pure carnauba wax. No beeswax or paraffin wax – just true Brazilian carnauba. You’ll see the same deep reflections and shine you’ve come to expect from a wax made by P21S, with an even more impressive wet look. Your vehicle will ripple with gloss under a coat of R222 100% Carnauba Wax! Sonus deep clean polish before waxing through.. deepens the shine!
