Ive also just had the same issue with the blower not working. I replaced the resistor after I was told it was the issue only it didn't fix the problem.
Had an auto electrician look at it and checked the motor was still in good working order by putting a direct live to it.
Eventually located the problem which was the circuit board behind the heater blower controls on the dash.
Bit of a pain to remove (but the auto electrician did that for me) but simpl enough to put back together with a new control unit sourced from eBay.
Total cost £140- auto electrician was £100 of that. But we'll worth it to have blowers working again!
