[Cruise Control not activating]

I  purchased a 2018 Jazz SE a couple of weeks ago and am working througth the comprehensive manual.

One problem I have encountered is with the cruise control .
Try as I might I cannot get it to work despite the indicator on the multi-information display showing the cruise control logo. the cruise limiter is fine but the cruise control appears not to work.

I have just purchased a2018 SE Jazz and in the course of going through the various functions om the Multi information display I have inadvertently changed the language from English to German. and can't seem to be able to change it back to English.

Any help would be appreciated
