Many thanks ec5780 so my car is no longer a "factory cat" virgin! Yes it was a pattern version but the garage still charged what I thought was a bit excessive. Got no claims protection and its money that can be replaced eventually. Car was off the road for only a week, didn't bother with courtesy hire car and now hoping insurers will pay up soon. Happy motoring days are here again!

Hi everyone just had the catalytic convertor stolen from FR-V 2006 Sport. In true slamming the stable door fashion I have made enquiries about fitting a Catloc or similar anti-theft device but non appear to be available for this vehicle. The police told me not to bother as latest edition angle grinders will cut through the lot! Not sorry to have such a great car though and for now just parking it carefully and enjoying the v-tec engine and the 6 seats until next time I get hit. Any security ideas gratefully recieved.
