  1. That’s another thing I wasn’t aware of (charging to 100%). Everything I’ve read online and in forums advises against doing so on a regular basis as it can degrade the battery. However if Honda are advising charging to 100% I will start following their guidance.
  2. I’m having exactly the same experience with my car bought in September. its not great but I do limited miles so not too much of a problem and thanks to Yerman’s post I now understand why this is occurring.
  3. I got my eny1 in September also and always charge at home between midnight and 5 am to obtain the low rate. I usually charge to 85% and car shows about 140 miles. Due to the colder weather I upped it to 90% but on frosty cold mornings it shows as little as 120 miles of range. Strangely despite having air con, heated seats etc on I can drive for example 30 miles and the range only shows a drop of about 20 miles. In short I’ve concluded that the figures displayed on the dashboard are so erratic that that I don’t trust them and the figures you are getting are much better than I’m achieving.
  4. Picked my advance aqua topaz up a few days ago and although the handover was problematic I’m enjoying the car. I’ve just taken it on a short break and driving experience was good. I’m finding the steering a bit lighter than the Hrv which makes for a more pleasant driving experience. I like the large screen which divides into three separate areas and seems user friendly. The drivers seat adjustment is now electronic and I found it difficult to get the perfect position….just a small niggle. Early days but don’t think I will regret the change.
  5. Hi Phosie, my account has been showing car sent to retailer for over a week with no update that they have received it. Something obviously amiss because it doesn’t take this long to delver from one area of the uk to another. Having read your post I’m going to try and chase them up.
  6. Ok thanks according to my online account my car should arrive in next few days , so just a case of wether I want to wait till September to register.
  7. Hi David, I ordered my eny1 advance about three weeks ago via the new online ordering portal, with the assistance of my dealer. I’m assuming it was the same method as yourself? I have zero experience of electric vehicles and picking a charger was a bit problematic. I started off with my energy provider Scottish Power however they were horrendous to deal with so I cancelled and eventually received a refund before going with a local firm electropoint. it was a much easier process and after advice I opted for an easee one untethered charger. Honestly don’t know if untethered is the best option but it will be fitted in a couple of weeks time. I’m having it fitted on outside wall beside my garage and hadn’t really considered inside the garage but will now consider this. As an aside I believe all of the recently ordered cars are in the country and the only delay is the 45 day cooling off period which is part of the conditions with online ordering.
  8. I’m currently waiting to take delivery of a new eny1 advance having ordered by Hondas online account(all be it with much assistance from the dealer). The dealers I spoke to were all getting used to this new method of ordering and stated that for some reason although the car was in the uk there was a standard delay of 45 days before delivery could be made. im therefore considering delaying to September to get the new plate. Anyway my question is does everyone now order by this method and for those who have done so , can you advise on delivery times and provide any advice re the process.?
  9. Thanks for the reply….im currently looking at chargers and I think I understand the pros and cons of tethered and untethered terminals. Which version did you go for ? Any advice re manufacturers and is it better to go with my electricity provider to supply and fit.
  10. Hi, I’ve just ordered a new eny1 for delivery in September and as a novice to electric cars I’m looking for some advice. 1. Does the eny1 come with one or two charging cables. 2. The home charger Iam considering buying says that it’s untethered and doesn’t come with a cable. Does this mean that I can use the cable that comes with the car for home charging or do I need to buy a cable for the charger? 3. Any additional advice for a technophobe like me would be greatly appreciated.
