Don Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Hi, hoping for a light bulb moment from avid CR-V fans. My DPF alarm illuminated on the dash about 3 months ago and went into limp mode. The garage conducted a force regen and sent me on my way. All was good for about 2 months until it happened again. This time my local garage couldn't clear the fault so I took it to a terra clean "specialist" who charged me a small fortune, cleared the fault, force regen again and said that all my stats were good and maybe my previous garage didn't regen it correctly. Fast forward 25 miles and it's back on. Any thoughts please? Because I can't keep taking it in for them to charge me the world and it go wrong in less than 24 hours
telltel Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 My Accord Estate with DTEC engine had a mystery DPF issue, so much so that Honda sent someone from Swindon to Honda SoT, the recurring ERG/DPF fault eventually traced to missing a software update following moving away from main dealer servicing. The even worse news was it's readings was hiding the need for a new DPF - which was eye watering. Hope you don't have the same. 1
Paul43507 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Hi Don, what was the outcome with your DPF issue? Having an issue with my CRV, it has been in at garage for past 2 weeks with no joy of clearing the dpf warning light or forcing a regen. It's booked in at Honda to a software update for exhaust gas emissions so hoping this allows a regen to take place.
smokingman Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Had my DPF on my Accord MK8 cleaned at about 100k miles, cost about £650. No issues since, car has just been written off at 156K miles. Honda wanted £1500 for a new DPF! ouch
