Hi guys I have recently bought a 2018 honda crv awd 1.5vtec with a cvt box I am very interested in looking after my car properly where is the best place to get this serviced.

Hi, I would tend to say stick with a Honda dealer as they generally have access to the latest technology and service bulletins.

 

My last car was serviced by an independent purely for convenience and the explanation of any work needed, being a short walk from home and the fact that when you rang them you got access to the small team. It's a bugbear with me that using main dealers you get passed from pillar to post and have to endure those messages stating that they value your custom but are are experiencing a high number of calls....end of rant.

 

Having said that, after several attempts by various garages to resolve an issue with the previous car, I bit the bullet and took it to a main dealer. They explained the diagnostic charges and what the costs of any subsequent work may be, the diagnostic cost was eyewatering for the,short, time they anticipated they needed.  However 30 minutes of work and the car was up and running like new, with only the diagnostic to pay for as they identified and fixed a poor connection on the ecu.
