Dishonesty or Not???
I had this with my wifes Yaris. I asked for the service history and it only had the one thing on it, but it did have a stamped book in the car. 6 months later i asked another branch of the same group, and it had an air-con fault reported but not resolved, air con still works but slightly noisey for past year. I was well annoyed and he moved on so i could not bollock him for it. Now have even lower trust in dealers now. To be honest £950 is not a lot and would not have any affect on the car, the car has not been written off (maybe you should check with carvertical) I recently had a bumper replacement because a fox ran in to it at full pelt. needed a whole new bumper. did not affect the rest of the car at all. If it was a category right off then they would of had to tell you. Best thing is to say it had a replacement bumper, be honest up front. People tend to not worry so much if your are straight upfront. Oh yes they were slightly dishonest for hiding it.

Dishonesty or Not???
Hi all.I have just asked to review the service history for my Honda Jazz 2023 purchased Oct 2024.The history has that it had body repairs to the value of £950 only done a few days before purchase & a bumper swap a few days after my deposit was paid. Not a word was said about this.Has the Honda garage got the right to hide these details from me?I am now selling the car but obviously have to provide the service history for my p/ex which could maybe impact the sale???Would appreciate what owners thoughts are please.Thank you.

Manual
Hi Tonydee, I believe there is no Haynes manual for the CRX, however, there maybe a Clymer in the USA? other than that, I also have a PDF genuine Honda CRX workshop manual, if that's any good.

1998 Civic Aerodeck 1800 VTI
Hi guys, newbie here, had plenty of 1999-2001 civics enjoying the windows dropping, steering column loom failing and the CV boot’s costly repairs. However, rude as you like, seeking advice on an Aerodeck that has been in the family from new. Can’t get any proper info on these so wondered if I could get a link or two from the group on their history. I know they are quite rare now and dare I ask how much they are worth? Many thanks, Paul

Rear Wheel Alignment FRV
Hi Wuzhee, I have fitted replacement upper arms and adjusted them. On checking rear wheel toe, the nearside was showing it was toeing in. Worked out the 10 point nut has nothing to do with toe, its adjusted by slackening locking nut, item 1, then adjusting via item 2. Item 3 is an offset washer and fixed plate, by turning item 2 the offset washers contact with fixed plate 'moves' the arm. I setup a DTI and adjusting item 2 by approx 10minutes (on a clock face) I achieved 0.2mm change to the toe, where I was measuring it. I rechecked both rear wheel toe's and are now at a setting more in keeping where it should be, i.e. slight toe-in. For info turning item 2, near side arm, makes the wheel toe more in an outward direction measuring from the center point of the wheel facing forward and measuring off tyre wall. Im aware tyre walls are inconsistent in their shape however as the wheel was locked and the DTI remained fixed then a true reading was achieved. Thanks to everyone for their assistance to me.

Rear Wheel Alignment FRV
Hi Chris! The major cause of the inner tyre edge wear is due to extreme camber change caused by worn out bushings in the upper arm. The adjuster bolt-nut combo which goes through the back knuckle bushing does not contribute much to the wear, it affects the car's forward rolling behavior. There are several adjustable camber kits available, which solves the tyre wear problem. Hardrace Cheaper Noname Febest Left side Febest Right side

Rear Wheel Alignment FRV
Hi thanks for the info esp tracking rear first.

Rear Wheel Alignment FRV
I adjusted the rear arms many years ago but were tough to loosen given where they are located so some effort may bew required to free them up. With four wheel alignment on this setup it is important to check and adjust from the rear first as a lot of operators adjust the front to compensate for the rear readings which is not what you are looking to do

Auto box life expectancy?
I would imagine it would last a great deal longer if the fluid and filter were changed in the transmission which quite often is neglected from service and maintenance routines

- Walk away auto lock function not working
Vehicle does not lock after walking away following option of right button. What page is it indicated otherwise? Ian- 1981 Honda Civic
Hi...welcome to the Club Fantastic car to own - haven't seen one on the road in years. Good to have you onboard- Hi everybody
The alternator will be engine ecu controlled also i think.- Hi everybody
It now needs the live data looking at. Just because its had an alternator and battery doesn't mean its necessarily charging. id be starting there first- Rear Wheel Alignment FRV
To clarify..... there is a 10 point nut on the rear lower arm, this provides adjustment for the rear Toe. Ive found the specs and on one occasion , during 4 wheel alignment it was adjusted. Can anyone provide any further information about the process, socket size etc. Direction of nut rotation vs toe in or out as I hope to be able to make this adjustment myself. Most other Honda's appear to have 3 bolts securing said arm. Thanks- Hi everybody
Hi. yes everything else works fine and fuses checked by myself and garage, its just those mentioned but it all started when the alternator went kaput and lit the dash up like a xmas tree. Yes, the car was told it had a new battery. i have disconnected the black wire on the battery many times, removed the negative cable from the battery many times. Tried the leave ignition on without running for 10 mins, cycle ignition thing 5-6 times without starting. The garage i took it too showed me the computer readout and it was green for everything. No faults showed up at all- Hi everybody
Do your interior lights come on when you open the doors? Have all the fuses been checked? It really needs to go onto a live data session to see what inputs the BCM is seeing. From what you've said it sounds like a problem with the BCM. You havent mentioned if that a reset had been done when the battery was changed. Also the battery management system might need a reset also. Could be why the stop/start isn't working. anybody with half a brain would be close to finding the problem on live data.OLSTERMEISTER started following Hi everybody- Hi everybody
Why has all the above been changed? Who has changed them? They're stabbing in the dark, mate.Robdelnappio started following Hi everybody- Hi everybody
@OLSTERMEISTER civic dtec 1.6. new battery new alternator new battery sensor auto stop start still not working. car has been told it has a new battery. also almost around same time folding mirrors, electric windows and alarm wont work fob has new battery tried all the reset procedures for all the above issues. im almost a grand in on both problems and no one can fix it. any ideas?- Walk away auto lock function not working
My Eny1 is 18 months old and done 4300 miles The Honda on line brochure clearly states that when the right hand boot button is pressed the boot will close when you walk away and lock the boot and car The boot closes and locks but there car stays unlocked The Honda garage tell me that only the boot should lock and Honda Tech support confirm this HELP Does anyone else have this problem?
