  5. Good morning everyone. I would need help to know the reference number of the brake pads for the "NISSIN 16cl14vnh" calipers that I have on my car. This is because when I was looking for parts, I saw that they are available for the AKEBONO and SUMITOMO systems and I was confused which one would be recommended. So if anyone can indicate the correct reference of the brake pads for the NISSIN braking system. By the way, is the VIN of the car LUC GG3 760 9321 7653, if that can help? I also leave an image of the brake caliper that I refer to. Thanks
  6. Hello First of all, thank you for accepting. I live in Portugal and I have a 2010 Honda Jazz and I came to the community to learn more about the car. Thank you and best regards to everyone
  7. Hi Alan if you have any pics or any more information I will be interested in the car
  8. I have the same issue. The rear footwell behind the driver is getting soaked after the wash bottle has been filled. The wash bottle loses liquid without the washers being activated. i will try and access the area and sort a fix based on the advice here.
  9. Hi. Had the car 18 months - 2 years now but used it longer as it was the in-laws so drove it a fair bit before we bought it from them when they moved onto a Jazz.
  10. Hi there, im hoping someone can help me, My Dad owned a Honda prelude silver 1993 around 2001/2 before he passed, private plate was put onto the vehicle C14NMJ. I can only find information from 2006 to 2012. Last time it was on the road from what I can find is 2010 and the last V5c issue was 2012, if anyone can help with further information on this would be greatly appreciated! Mitchell Pheby
  11. Thanks Trevor, I'll give that a go, now then SR or Colegate!!!!! 😀
  12. Nothings coming up when they put it on the diagnostic machine.
  13. Testing update. I temporarily removed the ECU. With the ECU removed, the dashboard lights are the same as when the fault is present. i.e no EML and no glow-plug light. This leads me to believe the root problem is with the power supply to the ECU. I rigged a test lamp to 15A fuse 17 in the fusebox near the steering column. I belive this is the fuse for the ECU supply. This fuse is live when the iginition switch is on, with or without the ECU installed. The fuse is not live when the ignition switch is off. Question:- is the power supply to the ECU (fuse 17) switched via a relay? If yes, where is this relay?
  14. I had an old model (1st generation) CR-V drive past me yesterday and it was kitted out for off-road. Have to say it looked very impressive and judging by this video it is not all show but indeed can go offroad as well
  15. Toothpaste is apparently very good as a scrub to remove the build up on the lenses
  16. Do you have fault code(s) from the vehicle? If you could narrow it down to what exactly is bringing the warning light on then it may be easier to diagnose. Sometimes written on the invoice or if not, then ask the dealer for the codes they extracted from the engine management ECM
  17. Hi i have a 2014 crv that I’m having problems with, about 8 weeks ago I was driving down the moter way, lost power and my filter light and engine management light came on, took it to the Honda garage they replaced the filters and sent me on my way, never even made it home before my engine management light was on again, back into the garage the following day. They put stuff in the tank to clear it, 4 weeks later lights back on, back into garage, they couldn’t find a fault, stuff in tank again, never made it home again without the light coming on, replaced sensors that they thought it could of been, again the light came on after driving about 3 miles, they still can’t find a fault. Im about £2000 down and the engine lights still on, iv to take it back on Monday but they don’t know what’s going on any ideas/suggestions?. Thanks
  18. I'm not an expert or even near being one, but I would say it's very uncommon, my 2005 CRV is my first honda and it's so well finished and everything fits like a glove. Sounds and looks like a hard 48K miles. Alan
  19. Hi looking for help I own a 2015 1.6 idtec CRV end of last year it lost power on the motorway badly but we managed to crawl off and call the AA. Recovery man scanned car and only code was MAF signal high at this point he recommended egr check and didn't trust code to be accurate but I changed MAF anyway Cox genuine part but still faulting and if fault happened again I'd strip it down to check egr valve. This fault has happend many times now but I can get car back by turning it off and then back on can't understand why its killing all the power and I mean all of it for just the maf also when driving the car it feels unhappy at 50mph which I think is when is has faulted on most or maybe all instances. Now my issue I've started to strip it down but carbon deposits are little to none on the low pressure egr yes it has two god now's why but I tried finding out as much about this engine before I dived in but that's not easy seems Honda's best kept secret. Next thinking is clean and reassemble what I stripped now and monitor is it happens again I've got to try and get to high pressure side and checked cooler side of system. Sorry for the long post but if any one can suggest things to check I be very grateful.
  20. Hi all, I've been looking for a nice CR-V for a while and at last one has turned up, but something I'm struggling to get in my head is a few apparently (to me) odd points, firstly there's a gap of about 2cm between the dashboard and the A pillar see pic no1, secondly the center dash clock looks like it's got screen burn, and finally the gear lever surround appears to have degraded at it's base, the car is a 2013 with only 48,000 miles, price wise it's £10,995 somehow I had higher expectations, any help appreciated, oh a HPI check comes back clear. Many thanks Paul.
  21. Hello, I am at a total loss with what to do with my 2012 Civic 1.8, I love driving it but it is has a fault that I'm really struggling to chase. When driving intermittently the indicators will fail and not work, at this point the washer fluid pumps fail and potentially a load of other electrical issues that i have not identified yet. The biggest issue that i face is that then when trying to restart the car the immobiliser light starts flashing and the car does not turn over. Things that i have tried - Plugging it into a diagnostics computer where absolutely zero faults appear (this leads me to think that theres an ECU issue. Checking the grounding of the fuses of the MICU using a multimeter. Several fuses are not grounded (I'm not sure if they are supposed to be) and several fuses (such as the washer pump) are poorly grounded - with a reading of about 0.5 rather than 0.01. Totally removed the MICU to check for corrosion or damage - all appears fine. I have taken the car to an Auto-Electrician who by the time they got to the car it was all fine and no issues could be traced. Thank you for reading and if anyone has any suggestions or has experienced similar faults i would love to hear them please.
  22. Read the article at the bottom of this page about Headlight cleaning has anyone used these kind of products and found they worked or has a homemade product that made a diffence. Alan
  23. Earlier
  24. As far as I can tell it is for the headlight washers so is tied in with the windscreen washers and also takes a power signal from the headlamps when switched on
  25. It has a timing chain and also naturally aspirated engine
