  1. That sounds very much like a crankshaft position sensor which fails when hot and when allowed to cool the sensor functions as normal
  2. I had to probe all the fuses to find one that was a permanent live as most switched over when ignition was off
  3. It is a 2wd and 4wd all at the same time! Basically, it runs 2wd (on the front) and then if the traction disappears on the rear then the 4wd comes in to drive the rear axle to gain traction (assuming the tyres are up to it) It works hydraulically and most of the time you won't know its there except for when you turn onto your driveway and if the fluid needs replacing you'll hear a clonking noise
  4. Hi Mark59 ... welcome to the Club Same as I had.....superb car and never let me down
  5. I would imagine if the resistance values are the same for the OE part and an aftermarket one that 'fits the hole' then it should be okay to use as its only measuring the gas temperature and all exhaust temp sensors would read about the same temp for the gases
  6. EBC components are good quality and have used them extensively for replacement parts in the past
  7. Hi John....welcome to the Club A local Motor Factors such as EuroCarParts may be able to help you with these parts or at least point you in the right direction
  8. Have a look behind the headlamp assembly for any levers that can switch the beam Chances are not, as it is a Japanese produced vehicle and only for RHD market I would guess
  9. I would be tempted to part with it and cut your losses Let someone else go through the expense and time of doing it up and start afresh
  10. Sounds like you may have picked up some contaminated fuel and this is filling the canister with water content I would get this attended to sooner than later but not sure if you can reach below the filter to drain it down yourself?
  11. First thought is a wheel bearing (probably Nearside Front - if it disappears when you steer left) Definitely worth having that checked first
  12. Sometimes if the front brake pads have been replaced at some point in time then worth checking that the pad(s) not moving due to part of the fitting kit missing
  13. Unless you can get the alignment altered to compensate for the UK camber and bias it slightly over one way? Otherwise, tyres may make a difference possibly?
  14. Halford always have a good stock and may be able to order one or even have something similar to fit as they just stick over the old broken mirror glass
  15. Makes sense as the German brands also did that around that era as there were court cases when anyone got trapped in the window going up
  16. Do they come through the audio system? If so, do you have the audio settings on fader getting more sound to the rear than the front?
  17. Not sure as its not available in the United Kingdom (so far)
  18. Hi Shelley Has any work been carried out on the car recently? ...and is the battery in good condition?
  19. I would start by looking at the bulbs in the trailer board If you have a wrong type of bulb then this can cause the problem
  20. Hi....welcoe to the Club Good to have you onboard!

    ROOF

I would take each component off individually and inspect then reassemble and see if that produces any results Time consuming but I'm sure you'll find a defect somewhere in there
  22. You sure it is not the wiring coming through from the roof to the tailgate that is broken Pull back the rubber boot that is surrounding the wiring and check the wires
  23. Some tyres can make a horrendous noise but it may also be the tyre profile that is picking up and transmitting more noise (e.g. lower profile tyres) Only way to determine is when you need new tyres you can search by noise ratings and try to find the lowest
