  1. No you should be able to lift down the sump on the transmission once its drained and change the filter
  2. Honda paint codes - LocationIt can also be found in the door shut (the area revealed when you open the door), this is more likely on later models. On certain models the code may be located on a white sticker, in the door shut near to the lock mechanism.
  3. Battery condition?
  4. You could try disconnecting the battery and leaving for about half hour then reconnect to see if the sensors come back online
  5. Hi Frogeyepete ... welcome to the Club Hopefully you shouldn't get too many problems with the Stepwagon and as long as it is maintained and any issues arise then can be dealt with before they become expensive. I reckon that changing the battery is a good call and will avoid any strange occurrences which can occur with original Japanese batteries, which are usually smaller in size. Good to have you onboard and keep us updated with how you're getting on with it
  6. Yes, finish is far better than most and was surprised to see how quickly the fasteners corroded on my BMW GS1200, really disappointing for what was a great bike Glad to hear you're pleased with the E:Ny1 and always nice to hear feedback from owners - good and bad

    Dark Room!!

well you've got a better memory than me then Alan 😂
  8. Same here, currently got an Africa Twin and superb Honda reliability for sure
  9. It should be a good purchase if it has been maintained correctly, but you would need to research this to see that is the case. Test drive it and see if you like it and if not too much money then go for it
  10. I'm surprised your calipers need rebuilding, one maybe but all of them? There is a possibility that you could find some aftermarket calipers to upgrade the braking system such as Willwood which may not be too expensive if you can find secondhand ones
  11. Hi...welcome to the club Please do let us know how you get on with it when you receive it and have chance to evaluate it
  12. Sachs is a good make but so also are LUK and BluePrint (the best one to get)
  13. I just fitted Avon tyres to my motorbike and has transformed the handling Avon have just done great deals on their tyres as they have now closed their UK manufacturing plant
  14. I would ask the Honda dealership as to which models are more popular. I know that they were paying more for a Jazz than they originally sold for as they had buyers queueing up for one...supply and demand!
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club The sunroof seal should(?) peel off the frame and you may be able to place the kink in a different position that won't affect the sunroof operation
  16. Hi ..... welcome to the Club What a great looking motor, thanks for sharing Good to have you onboard!
  17. They usually seize because of carbon build up but if the pistons are scored or burnt away on the ring lands then it may be something more serious with the fuelling or cooling system
  18. Hi....welcome to the Club Nice project and although parts are now getting difficult to acquire there are still plenty of bits around (scrapyards may be the way forwards with some parts though) Good to have you onboard!
  19. I would keep trying the release fluid and see if it does eventually free up Alternatively, try gently moving the wheel backwards and forwards in small motions as you try to the key in the lock

    THE PUB

Ah now that's my passion....nothing like visiting an old English pub in the countryside for a nice pint of ale 🙂
  21. I think if you have a transmission service done then any loose or worn components will surely be picked up during the service. Let us know how you get on with it
  22. The CR-V 4 wheel drive works on an 'as and when' basis....e.g. it kicks in if it loses traction so is technically a 'Crossover' rather than an 'All Wheel Drive' vehicle As Alan has mentioned, a lot of it comes down to tyres - if they are not off road tyres then you won't get any traction once the treads fill with mud
  23. That's great to hear, thanks for letting us know.
  24. Sorry can't remember which fuse I tapped into but had to use a multimeter to find a suitable feed that was ignition switched or permanent (depending on what route you want to go)
  25. Have you tried a new (quality) battery as if the old one needs charging periodically it may have faulty cells and this can cause the issues you are describing (if the battery cannot deliver a high enough voltage on start up then this will flag the lights)
