Changed battery... electronic fuel gauge stopped working

Hi

 

I changed the battery on a 2006 Honda Accord Diesel.

 

After I started driving I noticed the electronic fuel gauge marking 1 mile left to drive only.

 

I have half a tank of fuel.

 

How do I reset it?

I wonder if the tank has a faulty sender unit as the digital readout should be completely reliable reading if taking it straight from the sender
