Hi, I have a Honda Civic type s 2007 and have a problem with the car that the mechanic says he can’t diagnose!!!! My car has started to get a thudding noise with a squeak (sounds like an old prank) but only when braking and only going forwards!!!!! The drivers front side has also dipped slightly in comparison to the passengers. No noise when driving only when braking and only once the car has warmed up any ideas?????

It sounds very much like a loose brake pad or caliper and possibly missing a retaining clip.

I would try another garage to see if they have any other ideas.

Also, check your wheel nuts are tightened correctly
