July 19, 20205 yr 2006 Accord 2.2 diesel Battery went flat after just shy of 2 weeks of no use... charged battery... refitted battery and alarm sounds... no indicator flashing, can unlock, lock doors using buttons on the fob and the key itself and start the car. No online 'how to' guides have worked so far. Can I disconnect the alarm fuse? Where is it? I'm in a residential area and conscious of the piercing sound of the alarm while I'm trying to reset it.
July 20, 20205 yr Hi.....welcome to the Forum I believe there is a back up battery fitted inside the alarm siren which may need replacing. Not sure if it is a capacitor type battery which may recharge if supplied with battery power after a certain amount of time. This would be okay if you could leave the battery connected without the alarm sounding
