Billy2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Honda HR-V 2003 4wd, 5 door, 5 speed manual, RHD. Hi all, I was hoping someone on here has had a similar experience with water ingress into the front passenger footwell. I'm enquiring on behalf of a friend of mine who's in his 70's as he's asked me if I can do some research into the issue for him. I have looked very closely at both front passenger door seals, the inner door hole seal is fine but the outer is slightly perished and kinked around the door hinge. There is evidence of dirty water marks running down from the hinge on the door towards the front kick plate on the sill, so I believe that may be it's point of entry. The roof bars and windscreen have been sealed on the left, so the door seal is my main suspect. I have looked on the Honda parts website and all over the web for the seal in question but I'm having no luck sadly. The part number I believe he requires is: 72350-S4N-003 - Weatherstrip, Left, Front Door. If you know where I could source one of these it would be a great help, thanks. Cheers, Billy2020
Trevor Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Hi....welcome to the Forum I have in the past moved the door seal around just slightly (shuffled along by about an inch or so) and this can give the seal a slightly different profile and may give better sealing.
