Intermittent blower problem

I’m having an issue with my civic 57 plate. The heater blower works when it wants to which generally never. 
 

I’ve checked the fuses and they are fine. I’ve seen on YouTube that the resistor and fan motor are often the problem. 
 

The videos are generally in USA so not sure  if the cars are built the same way. 
 

any help appreciated

 

 

they're pretty cheap and easy enough to swap out. i'd keep an eye out on ebay for a cheap one to swap out if your fuses all seem fine.
