vincetagram_uk Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Hi guys. I have a Honda HR-V 2002 model. I bought it and it had a towbar on it but the towbar had not been wired yet. So I connected all the wires to the corresponding wires on the car. But now when I climb in and out the car I get a little static shown. I'm wondering if its maybe an earthing issue? Or does anyone have any ideas?
Trevor Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I'm not entirely sure the static is anything to do with the vehicle wiring, albeit the wiring would use a chassis earth but the voltage/current would be so small from the rear lights that it would not produce enough to give static shock.....more than likely clothing and shoes causing the shock? I sometimes get it on my BMW so I make sure the wife exits the car before me to discharge any static 🙂
