I'm Irfan from Preston, Lancs.

Was wondering if anyone knows a breaker or where I can get (just) the casing for the handbrake.

I have a 2010 2.2 i-cdti Civic and have searched the web for a while but can only find full kits for £40 or so on e-bay. I just need the shell as the top inch or so has cracked.

 

Apologies if this has already been posted - anyone experienced or can offer advice on the following :

 

When starting the car, if I press the ignition button on it's own, sometimes it takes a couple of attempts of turning over until the car starts. But if I keep the clutch pressed down and then push the ignition, it starts first time, every time. So this method has now become a habit.

Hi Irfan.....welcome to the Club

Not sure about the handbrake casing but maybe get the one from eBay, use the parts you want and sell the rest back on.

It does help to engage the clutch to start the car and also safer if left in gear
