A little Tip for dried out rubber gromets or window seals, a good size can of Halfords Silicone Spray for £ 4.99 does the trick and worth giving rubber seals a good spray in this hot weather when the rubber does tend to dry out and could deteriorate more quickly and also a good lubricant for other car parts except of course Brake parts or Steering assembly which should be common sense not to use any lubricant on. other than that, follow the instructions on the can and get rid of those nasty squeaks as well on the car. Best Wishes BAZZER RN 1
Trevor Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 That's a very handy tip there BAZZER RN 1 I have used silicon to good effect on suspension rubbers (mainly strut top mounts if you can get enough in there as hard to access) when they get 'dry' and start creaking. Anyone who has had an Alfa Romeo will know what I mean 🙂
