drmamunhasan Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Hello My 2022 Honda HRV is becoming very unreliable. On three occasions the battery died. Recently I was waiting for a car wash in line after punching the code. My turn came, I could not start the car when car wash door open. People had to push me through the car wash bay. I had my radio on only. Other occasions I was waiting at a medical clinic to pick up my wife after her appointment. The battery was dead around 4:30 pm. I called Honda Roadside Assistance, they came at 1:30 am and boosted the vehicle. I had to take an Uber to bring back my car. It cost me two Uber rides out of my pocket. I booked appointment at Honda to get things check out. They could not find any fault. They advised to buy a bigger battery if I wanted (!!)I thought it would be free as it was just two years since I bought the vehicle. I had to pay $90 (they said they reduced the cost by 50%). In first Winter in 2022 after I bought the vehicle, It lost power with all display got blank, it happened twice in the same winter. Later it was recalled for the same purpose and reprogrammed in summer 2024. I am now at a loss as I live in Edmonton which comparatively colder that many cities in Canada. Should I buy a booster pack to be safe this winter? Mohammad Hasan Edmonton, Alberta
Trevor Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I think all the bases have been covered, bigger battery, software updates on the vehicle....I would definitely invest in a booster pack just in case
