rayintheuk Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Greetings and a Happy New Year to everyone. I felt I must attempt to share this problem with other CR-V owners. My driver side seat belt in my 2005 CR-V often fails to return to the correct position when it is released after use. It generally sits around the floor and prevents the driver side door from closing. I am aware of the cause most likely coming from the inertia reel which is fixed at a low level, behind the hard plastic trim situated between the two doors. The problem is mainly how to gain access to the reel without doing too much damage. The trim covers quite area, and with no obvious points of fixture using screws I assume the only means of access is a messy and expensive removal of said trim. So, does anyone know of a cleaner and less destructive method of access to the inertia reel, repair it and replace the trim please? Many thanks Ray
