myCR-V5Gen Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I have a '21 plate CR-V Ex fitted with a Heads Up Display. When switched on the screen pops up in front of the steering wheel. Last month however this stopped working; it deploys about 25%, judders and then returns to about 20% deployed meaning it can't be read. Local Honda dealer said that while the projector is working the screen is somehow jammed and they can't fix it. The drive mechanism is a sealed unit and can't be taken apart to see what's wrong. Quote for replacement is £3800 !! Has anyone had this problem? How do you remove the unit from the dash? Have seen a picture of one on eBay and it seems to be held together by screws, not a sealed unit. Any help would be appreciated.
b4u2 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 You should have some sort of warranty if recently purchased.
myCR-V5Gen Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Hi, thanks for your reply. However, my car is now out of warranty. Honda dealer said that as the car is only just out of warranty I might get some support from Honda UK. Wishful thinking! They didn't want to know.
myCR-V5Gen Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 I did that. They weren't interested. Pretty poor I think.
