Civic 2006 to 2011

Good evening, New member here, based in the UK. My 2008 civic hatch 2.2 cdti has thrown up a load of lights (airbag, vsa, abs ect) and the speedo and rev counter have stopped working. Also there is no illumination in the cab so when driving at night i cannot see the radio buttons ect. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Attached are the DTC codes Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Lewis

Hi, I have a 2007 Honda Civic type S 1.8. When the car is started I can hear a grinding type noise, but when I press the clutch down the noise goes away. Also when driving the grinding noise is there. I had the clutch bearing replaced (there where three parts of the clutch changed but I don't know the names of them parts) Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Hi all I have replaced my rear left and right calipers the left one was dune with no issue when we went to do the right started to feel no resistance on pedal and noticed that we was looking at the wrong reservoir and emptied it topped it back up when noticed but brakes still show no air when re-bleeding any help will be appreciated

During a system report I have been notified of P0847 - Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch "B" (Third Clutch) Circuit Low. I have tried to investigate further but can you help if this is a garage job or something I can easily do myself (ps I am pretty useless with cars). Appreciate your help, Matt

Hi Good evening, would like some advice please... so few weeks ago changing gear was getting harder and harder and was grinding gears so took it into a garage who replaced the clutch master cylinder said it was leaking and had no fluid in biting point is really low to the ground but no clutch slippage. 2 weeks on biting point is still pretty low to the floor and sometimes still grinds putting it into a gear its much better than it was but still occasional, also the gear lever in general feels like it could go in and out of gears a bit easier not the smoothest ... anyone any ideas?? does it need a clutch adjustment or gearbox oil change…

Hi there, I need some help with choosing right roof rack for my Honda Civic 2009, Ex, Hatchback. I looked on the internet but couldn't find any useful information so I thought maybe someone has this car and know which roof rack will be the best for it. Joining here because the only key that we have to my partners car has stopped working. The electronic part, that is. We can still drive it, but the alarm is constantly on. I've bought a new, blank key and have seen many Youtube videos telling me that I can sync the new key to the car, but none of them seem to work. Anyone know if it really is possible to sync a new key? Martin

Hi, does anybody know what products is best to improve visibility of rear spoiler window that is made of Lexan polycarbonate and has UV damage. I wonder if anyone knows if it’s possible to replace rear spoiler window with a glass alternative and if this can be done? I have been quoted 1k to replace and looking for a quick fix in the meantime time cheers. SJ

Hi there , i have a honda civic 2006 diesel , its making a strange noise , been to few garages and one of them , told me that's its a chain problem and got to be changed (they just listen to the engine after that said that the chain usually need changing between80k - 100k) , i called honda dealership service and thinking to go and check it at them (thet said no, the chain its rare that need changing) , do you guys think its a good ideas , as i been told by them it will cost me about 1h labour and that's 120 , do you guys think it worth the money to be checked at them or not ?

Hi guys. I have a problem. When I press the clutch my car rpms goes below the normal idle and after comes back where idle should be. I cleaned throttle body and mass air flow sensor. I have bought an automatic civic 5 door 1.8 i-VTEC SE registered 30.03/2011. Since owning this car it was unable to start after 20 minutes of having the ignition on whilst checking the dashboard with the manual. Yet when I tried again 10 minutes later it started first time. Next the remote could not activate the lock to allow entry so I had to use the key. Then the radio decided to refuse to work and defaulted to AUX but it would not turn on and none of the buttons worked. Yet 4 days later it worked fine. The following day the remote unlocked the door but the radio is not working again. I contacted a Honda dealer who said it was a battery problem and I might h…

Evening I’m having an issue with my civic 57 plate. The heater blower works when it wants to which generally never. I’ve checked the fuses and they are fine. I’ve seen on YouTube that the resistor and fan motor are often the problem. The videos are generally in USA so not sure if the cars are built the same way. any help appreciated

I have a 2013 Honda Civic. Occasionally when you have been driving it and switch off the engine to pop into the shop it won't start. The engine is cranking but its not catching. If you wait 30 minutes after switching it off it will start no trouble. It has been to the Honda dealership to go on the diagnostic machine but they couldn't find any fault. If I have to switch the engine off i worry it won't start and i also can't use the stop/start as a result. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Hi Stupid newbie question....Just looking at buying a 2008 civic which is listed as sequential manual. I have also seen sequential autos and wondered if these are different or if they are just different names for the ISHIFT system? MY missis doesn't want to drive an auto or semi auto and I have heard that the I SHIFT system can be problematic? Ta in advance!

Good morning fellow Civic owners. Has anyone had experience of a leaking aircon system? Days after regassing only warm air was coming through. A dye test showed no leak in the pipe, so it might be condenser or compressor? Would be interested to hear anyone's similar experience and outcome? Thanks in anticipation.

I read somewhere that it is good to clean the MAF Sensor (Mass Air Flow sensor) every now and again with some isopropyl alcohol from Maplins. Anyone else done this? Any tips? thanks

Hi Folks! I know my civic is old, its a 55 plate, first reg Feb 06, so probably 05 manufacture, but does anybody know if there is a way of telling how near start of manufacture it is, or how many in the UK are older? Hope to hear from you.

Hi all, I have a 2007 2.2 diesel I parked it up last October while I was doing bots and pieces I started it in February and as expected it fired right up however I tried starting it 2 weeks ago but it wouldn't even crank over theres a clicking noise from the glow plug relay but nothing else the starter was tested and is fine, I'm stumped any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Hi All. New here because my wife has just got a Civic ES.Without thinking I went out and bought a set of parking sensors only to find its not that straight forward a job getting in behind front and rear bumpers to check for hole drilling and to feed wires. Has anybody done this job or can advise me how to gain access. Regards Keith.
