Good evening, New member here, based in the UK. My 2008 civic hatch 2.2 cdti has thrown up a load of lights (airbag, vsa, abs ect) and the speedo and rev counter have stopped working. Also there is no illumination in the cab so when driving at night i cannot see the radio buttons ect. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Attached are the DTC codes Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Lewis

Hi. Has anyone got any suggestions about how to improve the fuel economy that does not involve tips on driving behaviour. For example remapping, or new microchip, etc? Many thanks. Pete

Greetings all, My first post here, I've signed up as I need help locating the knock sensor on my I-CTDI 2.2 diesel 2009 civic. The Haynes manual only says that for ALL 8th gen models the sensor is behind the inlet manifold in plain sight. However it is not. And it's not anywhere nearby as far as I can see. What's more, I can find absolutely zero info/threads/videos about knock sensors on diesel civics, total zilch. Not one mention. Which leads me to the question - do they even have knock sensors?! But they must, as the car has been throwing up the error code for faulty knock sensor and the car…

I own a Civic 1.8 SE, on an 07 plate. It is by far the best car I have owned and has been very well behaved and reliable. Brakes replaced, battery replaced, brakes replaced again including rear discs this time. Battery replaced again. Rear number plate light filaments replaced and by far the most awkward job, front nearside side light filament! Today, the central locking has failed combined with unable to cancel hazard warning lights (alarm). Engine starts as normal, hazards activate, after approx 30 seconds hazards de-activate for a couple of seconds and then start again. I have checked fuses, seem OK. What to do next. Please Help!

Hiya folks. I have an 09 2.2 diesel with an annoying ABS warning light….. The warning came on a few months ago and showed a fault with the OSR sensor. I eventually got round to replacing the offending item o oh to find that a fault was now also showing for the OSF sensor. A pain in the butt, but got that replaced too. The warning light now periodically comes on, and then resets when the ignition is turned off for a period of time. There seems to be no pattern for it in terms of speed, journey duration etc. Sometimes I can do my 20mile commute and it’s fine, other times I might go a mile and it comes on. I’ve had all the sensors disconnected and the con…

Hi all, I currently own a 2008 Civic 2.2 cdti. The rear suspension was a bit tired so I ordered a new pair of Monroe rear shock absorbers. When they arrived I noticed that they don’t have any dust covers. Will I be able to use the old OEM dust covers? Or is it not necessary to have them? Thanks in advance!!

Hi everyone, would be grateful for some opinions. I have just purchased a 2009 1.8 manual Civic with around 90,000 miles on it and a mostly full service history. I have had similar aged mazda and fords in the past where I have had the starter motors fail at this age. I can not be left stranded out and about, so I have contacted Honda and asked them how long the starter motors were designed or expected to last. They were unable to answer (even their head office in Japan). Does anyone have any anecdotal experience? Obviously, there is a huge amount of variables and no guarantees. But how long do these tend to last? Do they start failing after i.e. 15…

Joining here because the only key that we have to my partners car has stopped working. The electronic part, that is. We can still drive it, but the alarm is constantly on. I've bought a new, blank key and have seen many Youtube videos telling me that I can sync the new key to the car, but none of them seem to work. Anyone know if it really is possible to sync a new key? Martin

During a system report I have been notified of P0847 - Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch "B" (Third Clutch) Circuit Low. I have tried to investigate further but can you help if this is a garage job or something I can easily do myself (ps I am pretty useless with cars). Appreciate your help, Matt
