  1. Started by Berni,

Hi all - just wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced their battery draining on the Honda CR-V (2018 model)? Ours is only 7 months old and the battery has died completely twice within 10 days. I drive the car every day (maybe a half hour in the am and a half hour in the pm). Breakdown services and the Honda dealer can’t seem to explain why the battery is draining. We never had this issue with our previous model. I’d really appreciate hearing back from anyone who has had a similar issue and how you fixed it. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a 2005 2.2 i-ctdi saloon. Love it to bits, but..... Now and again, when I accelerate fairly hard in 2nd or 3rd, the engine will die momentarily and then pick up speed as normal. Not the end of the world I know, but quite disconcerting when you are in mid-overtaking mode. I have also experienced this at it's extreme causing the car to go into limp-mode very occasionally until the vehicle is left switched off for a while. Anyone got any ideas as to what the cause might be? Appreciate any help on this :)

  5. Nearly 50% of all cars that fail an MOT do so because of small faults that could be avoided by simple, at-home car maintenance. These problems are easy to correct, and fixing them before taking the car in for its MOT could help you pass first time and avoid garage costs. To help, Ring, the automotive specialist in bulbs, wipers, battery care and tyre care, has some advice on the simple things that can be done to avoid an MOT fail. Lights and signalling – 17.8% failure rate 4.5m cars fail because of lamps, reflectors and electrics every year. Doing a quick bulb check before you take the vehicle to the garage could avoid an MOT fail. Make sure you che…

  8. I am going to register my FR-V (currently UK reg, 2006 car) in France. Therefore I need to change the dipped beam, which in most cars means changing the whole headlamp. I am really struggling to find any LHD headlight unitss, at a price which is anything like sensible, so I just wanted to check if anyone had had any experience of adapting the existing RHD headlamps ? There's no hidden adaptor (BMW style), or work-around??? Changing them to Xenon seems to be illegal and doesn't create a decent, sharp light pattern which the French Controle Technique looks for. My question sounds a bit daft, but I have to ask.. I have been looking for used (or even new) h…

I've installed the seat no problem but now the seatbelt plug is impossible to reach, despite the seat being listed as compatible with this position. Thanks!
