Hi all, I'm looking to purchase my first Honda as I'm after a reliable car that is well specced, well built and not going to lose too much value. I may have to resell in the next 2-12 months, depending on where my job takes me but that's irrelevant. My drive to the office is maybe once a week, 30-40 min B road drive so diesel will get up to temp, every short commute I walk. I also do routine hour plus journeys to see friends or go to customer sites. Now I'm deciding between which to buy from the following, and wondered if there's a difference in build quality as you find with say a BMW 1 series vs a 5, or a Mercedes A class vs an E: …

Hi all. I'm new to car forums but I thought I would give it a go, I have a problem my CRV 2008, that mechanic can't cure. I keep getting an intermittent vibration coming up through the steering wheel, sometimes it lasts for a second or two, other times it can last as much as twenty seconds.. Sometimes this is so bad the windscreen shakes as well. I happens all the time but it is more noticeable while on cruise control at between 38 and 40mph. Has anybody heard of this or knows something about it. I would be very grateful for your help. Thank you.

Hi I am looking to buy a stylish coupe/sports for under £5k and one of the cars that popped up was the CRZ. I have seen a few under £5k with mileages varying from 70 to 110k Are they a safe used buy or do I have to budget for potentially big bills. Hi, looking for some advice/suggestions regarding transmission power loss. I have a 2008 2.2 cdti 6MT car which is due to have front struts & drop links replaced, however after just completing a 400 mile round trip, I became aware of a potentially more serious issue which may nullify the suspension fixes. The car seems to struggle, I can shift gears without issue but depressing the accelerator while raising the engine revs does not seem to translate to increased acceleration. Morning, i have a Honda CRV 22 plate which has been in and out of my Honda garage approximately 8 times with the same issue. when i hit 63 mph i get a tremble/vibration up through the steering. the brakes and discs have been replaced, rebalanced, different wheels and tyres tried, and driveshaft changed. no result. last comment from garage was that this was something that was an issue with this model. CRV Hybrid 2 ltr all wheel drive. 24000 on the clock. any one come across this issue and advice on what i should do. still under warranty.

Hiya, I've had this Honda Civic for 4 years and it's been a great car up until now. It has oil in the coolant, shown a mechanic and been told the headgasket is no good as the vehicle overheats. I mean the car only has 38k miles with a full service history. It's not even 6 years old yet and such a massive engine fault. What procedure do you think I can take as I don't have 1000's of pound to spend on a new engine. I'm hoping Honda could do it under goodswill. Any help will be appreciated.

I recently bought a Honda CRV SE plus, 2018. Can anyone tell me if this has Apple CarPlay as standard. Android phone is listed but no Apple CarPlay. Using Siri I can get music, make calls and get voice directions but Google maps does not appear on car screen.

Hi all, Im new here :). I am currently looking at a Honda Civic SE Executive, everything looks ok apart from the GOV website report that it has an outstanding recall on it and to contact local honda dealer. I have contacted them and they said that they can't give me any details on the recall due to GDPR!!. I've searched about and its recommended not to buy a vehicle with a recall. . is there any where I can get the recall information from? Also, would antone be able to explain why its not recommended to buy with outstanding recall if the dealership will be fixing it for free?

Turns out the Stream is a rare beast. I hit a deer and the grille shattered. There are very few on the market and they are £500+ from a franchised dealer. Does anyone have a grille in their shed or at the back of their garage they want to flog? Its a 2004 model.

I have a 2006 Jazz automatic. Last year it passed its MOT with an Advisory that the brake discs were corroded but not seriously weakened. This year at the same garage (but in the absence of the owner who was not well) it failed its MOT and the discs were classified as Dangerous. However the car had only done 200 miles from the previous MOT. Is this plausible given the low intervening mileage and the report in the previous year's MOT ('not seriously weakened')? In any case, couldn't the rust just be cleaned off - or are brake discs so cheap that one might just as well replace with new.

We have a 2010 Honda Stepwagon RK5 with intermittent ignition issues. At key turn there’s always power, but sometimes it starts and sometimes it’s dead. The starter is fine and the local mechanic has changed the ignition switch to see if that’s the problem. He suggested it was wear on the key as depending on how the key is pressured when you turn it has an impact on whether it starts. I disagree with this because the issue is the same with both keys, and they both worked fine before this started happening. Is this likely to be an ignition barrel issue? Any other thoughts on diagnosis?

Hi, looking for a bit of advice, I have a 2012 honda accord, the car recently wouldn't start, got the car started after a battery reset but the dash it full of faults, the car is stuck in limp mode, tried a replacement ECU & instrument cluster but still the same, been told could be gearbox pressure sensor, does this sound right, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi All, I need some Honda expert advice. I recently bought a Honda CRV EX (2016). When the wipers are on the wiper motor makes a relatively high pitch whirring/whining sound. It is very obvious. When I freeway you don't notice it but around the local roads if I do not have the radio on it is very noticeable and annoying. I sat in two friends CRVs and they do not have the noise, only the wiper blades on windscreen. This is not that. I took back to the dealer and they took it in to replace the wiper motor (genuine). Its around four weeks since I had the 4 mismatched tryes replaced on my CRV and the difference is noticeable on the ride and steering. I've used Avon before on my transits and been happy with them so when I was offered 4 at a very good price I went for it. Think they thought I was mad as the old tryes had plenty of tread left but I hated having 4 difference make of tyres and the price won't come again!!

Hi i have a 2013 Honda Crv , cant seem to find an update disc for the Hdd satnav i can get one from honda but dont really want to pay £300.00 for and 2018 disc. are they available any where other than honda. seem to be able to buy dvd versions but not hdd. cheers jay
