I posted this in the HR-V forum, so I hope it’s ok to post here as well - not sure if this is covered in another thread - forgive me if it has already been discussed. Has anyone else experienced the tyre deflation warning coming on even though there is nothing wrong with the tyre pressures? I have to initialise the system each and every journey. It has got worse, too over the months and I doubted myself so I got the tyres checked - but they are fine. Is it possible to replace the sensor (wherever it is) or even disable the function altogether as it is not particularly useful even when working properly. I drive an HR-V EX CVT ‘67 plate …

Can anyone help? Honda recently changed the battery in my 67 plate HRV, after they changed it they said all the lights were on and it has a VSA unit fault, which will cost £2000 to replace. There was not a fault before replacing the battery and everything was working fine. Has anyone had a similar issue?

  6. Hi Guys. New to the forum. I have a civic 1.6se 5 door 2005. generation 7. Bought it at 5 years old 16k miles as someone wrote my mk 6 saloon off at 149k miles.... rear end smack!. its' 15 years old now and only 40k on it now. About 3 years ago I noticed I had to correct the steering on the motorway .. would veer slightly to the right. Had tracking done. no change. It was laid up for while on and off... because I was! Had to get a jump start, eps light came on but the mechanic cleared it all okay. but since then the steering became worse, cornering left was nightmare.....i had several alignments. 3 separate garages said it was the steering rack, except…

  8. Nearly 50% of all cars that fail an MOT do so because of small faults that could be avoided by simple, at-home car maintenance. These problems are easy to correct, and fixing them before taking the car in for its MOT could help you pass first time and avoid garage costs. To help, Ring, the automotive specialist in bulbs, wipers, battery care and tyre care, has some advice on the simple things that can be done to avoid an MOT fail. Lights and signalling – 17.8% failure rate 4.5m cars fail because of lamps, reflectors and electrics every year. Doing a quick bulb check before you take the vehicle to the garage could avoid an MOT fail. Make sure you che…

The original Prelude made its European debut 45 years ago and served as a thrilling, high-performance showcase of Honda’s cutting-edge technol…

  10. Hello everyone, It's a pleasure to be on board. I have a '99 Honda Ballade 150i Luxline automatic. For those unfamiliar with this model from the South African market, it's basically a Civic. My automatic gearbox recently started shifting late, and eventually shifting roughly, and I discovered that the shift solenoid is dead. Unlike the more common engine sizes, the 150i auto only has one shift solenoid on the transmission. It looks different from any of the civic/ballade solenoids I've seen for sale online (I assume these are for different engine sizes). I'm having a tough time finding a replacement and I think it would help to figure out the part …

Excuse this tech question in 'general' but the answer could come from any model... Is there any way to fit a CVT transmission to a B20B engine? I hate the auto in my 96 Stepwagon and I love CVTs!

Hi all! I have a 2007 Honda Civic Type S, which up until recently has been incredibly reliable! However it has developed an issue with a loud high pitched almost grinding noise when going around bends. This noise is very intermittent and seems to depend on the force of the bend. It does however happen every time without fail on reverse. My father, who is very handy has had a look and is stumped. It has also been into a garage for a quick look and they cannot see anything wrong. Typically they took it for a quick test drive and it didn’t make the noise. I understand the 2007 civics are electrical power steering. My father can see a pipe in the engine which is stumping…

Hello there I have a 2006 Honda FR-V Sport (2.0L petrol) with original Honda roof bars (but not the later roof rails). The manual doesn't specify the safe dynamic roof load limit for the vehicle unfortunately. Searches online coming up with wildly different figures in the range of 50Kg-75Kg-100Kg. Does anyone know where I can find this information as despite searching, im still none the wiser. Many thanks Duncan

RE: 2018 Odyssey Touring. Had/have again warning appear that "Road departure mitigation system off" then goes back on. Now new warning; "Engine management system problem" now on. There are no engine codes stored so hard to make diagnosis. Last summer Honda supposedly did recall service 20- 047 to update for guage control. Suggestion is to take back to Honda for new SoftWare update. Anyone else with same issue?

I don't know how to go about finding a match, so thought a shout out in here might be worth a try. I'm in Cobham, Surrey

Hello. I am looking to sell my beloved Honda Accord due to the new ULEZ rules. It is a great car and has been with me and my family since new. It has low mileage and has been looked after. It's never broken down. It would be good to see it go to a 'good home' even though I need to give it up. Does anyone know where best I can sell it or advertise it?
