We have a HRV elegance , bought in April 2024 and are very pleased with it. The fuel consumption was 60 mpg up until the last couple of months when it has dropped to 57 with the same mixed use of long distance and short trips. Is this cooler weather? We always drive in "B"

I've recently purchased a honda hrv 2020 1.5 ivtec petrol (9000miles) and was just wondering if anyone else has encountered a clicking sound when the car is in park/idle coming from the engine. I'm just wondering if this sound is normal as I'm quite new to cars and have no idea if it's a fault or it's just how the car is. Video can be found herehttps://streamable.com/a3ebo1 .. you can hear it around the 6 second mark and around 13 seconds. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Looking for some help. My MAF sensor needs replaced (tried cleaning it and still have the same problem), I purchased a replacement MAF sensor which said without housing - photo's looked exactly the same as the one currently in my car and had the same OEM number. I tried the part and my car was worse so what does the housing mean? I wanted to ask this question before I order another part and have the same issues. Thanks

Hi I bought my HRV nearly 2 years ago from a private seller, it has been great until recently Each time I depress the clutch is sounds and feels like an old squeaky floor board, most annoying. I have spoken with my local dealer and they want £150 inspection fee to even look at it. My brother has a civic and has the same problem Does anyone else have this irritating fault Louise

My wife's HRV screen washers were feeble at the front and water wasn't coming out the rear washer. I reported this when it went in for a service at the Honda dealership. The front is now better, and water does come out the rear but not in a spray, it dribbles out. Wife says it's always been like that. I've not known this on any other car. Should it squirt or should it just slowly run out?

Hi I’m within a couple of days of ordering the new mid range advance HRV Ive previously had two Cr-v and initially looked at that model but found it pricey I see that reviews are stating the Hrv is underpowered and noisy so any comments re this would be appreciated Also the dealers only have two colours in stock so it is hard to select suitable paint The online photos aren’t great but I’m between meteoroid grey and crystal red Any comments/advice re the above and interior space would be appreciated

This is my first post and arises through the results of the first two annual service reports on my HR-V. Due to the pandemic, the car has only completed around 11,000 miles and yet tyre wear is being reported on the front wheels as 3mm! I took this to Honda and Michelin last year and, frankly, they fobbed me off with the usual generic platitudes. I have now shown the car to a major tyre dealer who was interested to see so much wear from a so-called premium tyre. I had 2 CR-Vs on PCP contracts prior to the HR-V and both cars achieved 3 years and 30,000 miles without tyre warnings. The tyres on these models were Continental. 2 queries here: - Have others seen th…

Hi Folks, I am really liking my new-to-me HR-V but notice that the gap between body panels doesn't look consistent. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know what the upper limit for the gap is meant to be?

I’m in the Philippines and my Honda hrv has a broken front passenger side retractor. I understood Honda have a lifetime guarantee on seatbelts however on contacting Honda Philippines I’m told it’s only only covered for three years. I notice that the company Takata has multiple lawsuits in the US and the Hrv brand of seatbelts is the same. Honda want 6k plus to repair the issue. Anyone had an similar issues?

The Honda HR-V is a mini SUV produced by the Japanese automaker Honda from 1999 until 2006. The abbreviation HRV officially stands for High Rider Vehicle although sometimes referred to as Hybrid Recreation Vehicle. The HR-V was introduced to cater for the demand for vehicles with the benefits of SUVs (in particular its bigger brother the Honda CR-V) such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, along with the maneuverability, performance and fuel economy of a smaller car (such as the Honda Civic). Its main competitors at the time include the Toyota Rav4 and the Land Rover Freelander. Known as one of the earliest low emissions vehicles (in terms of nitrogen oxides) and …
