  1. Cheers Trevor for your response. I was going to get the Castrol Edge 5w-30 LL as its on offer on Opie Oil for £33.95 for 4 ltrs but looking at the specs its listed as a C3 oil. Dont understand why they are recommending a oil not to the correct ACEA Spec. think ill head to Halfords as they have Mobil 1 Super 3000 X1 Formula FE 5W-30 5lts for £28.40 at the mo (ACEA A5/B5)
  2. There is a tuning firm in Wrexham who can advise you on this. There's various options open to you. Bigger discs , 4 pot calipers with better pads. I don't know about ceramics but I do know they will be expensive. I think the company is called Ripspeed.
  3. I will probably go and do that. The local Honda dealership just phoned up asking if I wanted to try both, how did they know? Really keen as they have a 0% apr offer, so will end up with a Civic this time next week if all goes well.
  4. My Accord Estate with DTEC engine had a mystery DPF issue, so much so that Honda sent someone from Swindon to Honda SoT, the recurring ERG/DPF fault eventually traced to missing a software update following moving away from main dealer servicing. The even worse news was it's readings was hiding the need for a new DPF - which was eye watering. Hope you don't have the same.
